The rest of the group had been gone for a couple of minutes before the others had decided to re-enter the house, Max went inside first followed be Dustin and Lucas.
Steve looked towards y/n before tilting his head towards the door signalling y/n to follow after him, she looked back to him with a half-hearted smile before nodding and turning beck to the scene infront of her
"She's going to be okay you know?" A voice made the girl jump slightly before re adjusting herself. She looked to the side of her to see Steve smiling warmly at her
"I know." The girl replied before nodding her head, looking back at Steve slightly "I just...that place isn't just wheee she was raised and taught pain and suffering" y/n paused before looking back to Steve with teary eyes "that. Is...like hell's playground...and I just sent them there with no help and I-" the girls voice began to break as she spoke
Before she could continue however, Steve brought her into a tight hug and stroked her back soothingly, placing a soft kiss onto her head as he mumbled comforts into her hair
"Don't say that" he said as he pulled y/n away from the hug " you have every right in the world to be scared of that place, that is your trauma and there is nothing in the world, no person nor place that should tell you how or when you can or should re-live it..." he paused before looking into the girls eyes again
"You are an incredible, karate-badass goddess" he spoke quoting Max causing a soft laugh to come from y/n "and you could destroy anything at anytime, but this is nothing to be ashamed of" he told the girl sincerely as she looked up to him in awe
Y/n starred up at Steve for a second before he began to panic slightly worried that he ha do upset the girl that he admired so dearly
