As the group settled into the car, max and Lucas in the passengers seat, Lucas loosing to an impromptu game of Rock paper scissors forcing him to sit in the floor of the car, Dustin,Steve, and Mike shoved into the back few seats
Steve was sprawled across the back row of seats in the car, still passed out from the amount of impact he had taken to the face
Y/n was driving, Lucas and max sharing a map between them arguing about directions to take, whilst y/n's knuckles where turning white from her grip on the steering wheel
As she sped down the road, y/n looked back towards Steve and the others in the rear view mirror, beginning to hear a commotion in the back of the car
Steve began to grumble as he groggily opened his eyes soon closing them back again from the stinging sensation
As they fluttered back open, Steve tilted his head slightly as he looked towards Mike.
"Y/n..." he spoke roughly as the groaned from the pain coming from his face, Mike just looked to him with a confused expression, looking back to y/n with a slight smirk
Y/n just rolled her eyes back to him through the mirror as she tried to focus on max and Lucas' confusing instructions.
As Steve began to move around more, the more conscious he baca me of the world around him, and he was beginning to realise where he was
Steve let out a confused noise, before Dustin took his head and began to sooth him
"Hey...buddy.." Dustin began as Steve tilted his head, reaching a hand up to place it on his puffed-up eye, but soon wincing at the impact
"Ah...shh..don't touch it don't touch" Dustin said as he took Steve's hand away from his face "you put up a good fight...a great one but he kicked your ass okay buddy you're okay.."
