Midorya Izuku had some issues through the years. A little over a decade of constant oppression does that to someone.
A decade of oppression can also lead to suicide attempts. As such, Izuku had been hospitalized a fair amount of times.
The friends made there would NOT last a lifetime. Despite trading socials and promising to call all the time, everyone knew it was bullshit. They would check in every once in a while yeah, just to see if they were dead yet, but other than that? No.
An upside of spending about 2 years of junior high in a psych ward either had to be how easy the work was, or it was learning every single card game.
Every. Single. One.
Boredom kills. (And so do children!)
From being asked his deepest trauma, and his favorite color in one sentence, to a 5 year old child explaining the graphic plan he had to kill his parents and siblings, Izuku had seen it all.
He thought he would never have to see the familliar halls again. (He was wrong)
