Your POV

It's not hard to track something. Really! It's not!

SO WHY IS THIS DUMBASS- apologies, gentleman- SO HARD TO FIND??!!

I went to the stupid 'Cafe' and he's not here. He can't just evaporate into nonexistence, can he?

I was about to give up and announce him being dead, but that was before I saw him taking a hand full of cash out of an ATM. He had his mask off- revealing his dirty blonde hair, crooked nose, and blond stubble on his top lip.

Not waisting any time- I pounce myself right next to him."Dude!"

"AHH! What are you doing here?! You're supposed to be back at the house!"

"I could say the same to you. Why did you run away?"

"..."

"If you lie to me boy, I'll know!" I give Brian a hardened look to make him spill the beans.

"Ugh. Alright. I found Tim snooping in my stuff so I chased him out of my room into his. He went into his room and locked it on me! I waited until morning, that way we would talk about it."

"And then you left him in the woods to die?"

"I mean- kinda yeah. I called some people to pick him up though."

"Dandelion!"

"What! People we're gonna think it was me!"

"It WAS you!" We sit and banter back and fourth about what's more 'morally correct'. People walk by and shake their heads and smile (probably assuming that we're having a little lovers fight).

. . .

We sat together, exhausted, inside of Brian's favorite Cafe.

It looked like a western themed bar, disguised by the smell of coffee beans and tea leaves. The occasional 'roughed up man' would walk in and chat up the pretty waitress.

"You know." Brian picks his head up to look at me. "I knew Masky went through your room before you told me."

"What do you mean?"

"Masky slipped something under Toby's door, and I'm sure you remember me sleeping in there for that night." Brian nods his head up and down. "It was a note, with a piece of yellow post-it note on it. It said that below it was a note that you had- wrote to a picture of me on your night stand?"

As soon as I said the words 'picture of me on your night stand', Brian folded. He put his hands across his face and smothered his head into the table.

"Oh god. I-. I don't know how to explain myself. Ehehehe. I- God, I'm so sorry. " Brian sits there and composes himself for a good 4 minutes before finally look at me between the gaps of his fingers.

I smile brightly to make him less nervous. It seems to work, as Brian proceeds to drop his hands and lift his head up in my direction.

"Don't worry. I'm not mad at you or nothing. Infact, I don't see you any differently." Brian looks at me surprised before getting up from his seat in the booth and sitting next to me.

Of course, I lied. Only a little though. His 'devotion' towards me seems to put others into dangerous situations. If I act like normal, and can keep people at an arms length to me. Then, he shouldn't act up again. Hopefully. Why am I babying him?? Maybe, I should just tell him off. Yeah.

"Listen. It's wonderful you find peace in me. But, you're acting like a fool." Brian looks at me with a crooked smile and furrowed brows. "I know. I know I'm causing problems. I don't know how I got so.. attached. I'll tone it down, for you."

I pat Brian on the back and bring him in for a side hug, which he accepts fully. "Alright! Now. Let's head home before they send a search team"

. . .

The drive back with Dandelion was peaceful. We just talked about ourselves. Or really, our pass selves. Brian and me had a lot in common! He had 2 little sisters, and I have 3 little adoptive siblings. Brian, surprisingly, is a country boy! Well, the accent kinda gave it away but, he's like an in depth country boy. I'm talking the whole 9 yards!

He grew up on a family owned farm. Lived in Alabama, and went hunting with his pals. He also told me that him and Tim go far back. They we're college pals! Apparently, Tim was born in Maine, then moved to Alabama when it was time for college.

Brian and Tim were film students. Which is perplexing to think about those two in roles like that. I love learning about my new found friends. They're... big weirdos. LIKE ME!
