While his heart aches
and his mind cannot fathom
how things have changed
since Eve and Adam,
he must, of hunger,
choose a trade
that gives him food
and a little shade.
As he paints,
he think of dawn,
when in a few hours
tomorrow’s born,
and then he'll have to look his best
and go out there and take the test
and find a job that gets him bread,
though tomorrow,
his heart is dead.

Carpathia in deus
ΠοίησηCarpathia in deus is an ongoing compilation of poems that is evolving through its own course. The journey has been interesting so far. I don't know where it goes and it's fun to not know. I hope you enjoy reading it. - Marlon de Souza
