After witnessing Ivy and her boyfriend having a moment, I decide on skipping the class. It's frustrating to see them together, and I hope Ivy realises what she needs to do soon. Bringing up the situation right now seems...desperate?

"Where do you want to go?" Ivy asks me.

"How about my place? My dad is out of town for the next two days, and I can cook pretty well," I suggest proudly.

"Oooh, impressive," she replies with a hint of amusement.

"Usually, you have lunch with your 'friends,' so won't they be suspicious about your absence?" I ask, curious about her explanation.

"Well, I told them that I have an urgent project due, and I'll be too busy to have lunch with them," she explains.

"They believed that?" I ask, shocked by their gullibility.

She nods and giggles. "Dumb heads," I whisper under my breath, but Ivy hears me and sharply pats me on the shoulder. "Hey! They're my friends," she defends them.

"Okay, okay. Relax," I say, opening the car door for her to get in.
