[Chapter 4] The Crimson Demon

[After a nice hot shower and a change of clothes, you, Kazuma, and Aqua find yourselves back at the guild, while the other diners are having the times of their lives, your party on the other hand isn't holding up so well..]

Aqua: "We can't take those toads on alone, we need to find some allies!"

Kazuma: "We got 5000 Eris per frog, we make that much at our part time jobs without getting eaten!"

[You rip a piece out from the frog.]

(Y/N): "Well, you have a point, but you can't really argue with free food."

Aqua: "Great point (Y/N)! These are delicious! A little tough, but the taste is divine!~"

Kazuma: "Back to the allies thing, I totally agree with you, but who's gonna party up beginners with hardly any gear?"

Aqua: "*Tries to talk but has food stuffed in her mouth."

(Y/N): "Aqua please swallow then talk."

[She takes a drink of booze washing the food down.]

Aqua: "We have an Arch Priest and a Swordmaster! Two of the advanced classes! Do you even know how many people would kill to have someone like us in their party!"

(Y/N): "I'd rather see my class as something I'm good at, rather than a means of getting what I want, but you do have a point."

Aqua: "Damn right! Now give me some more frog and stop worrying already!"

Kazuma: "...You're welcome.."

*Next Day*

[You, Kazuma, and Aqua are seated on a bench near the quest board, waiting.]

Aqua: "Why is no one coming?"

Kazuma's Thoughts: "We've been sitting here for more than half the day waiting. We posted a flyer and everything but so far no bites."

(Y/N): "Hold on, give me a sec."

[You walk up and take a look at Aqua's flyer and deadpan, you take it off the wall and turn around.]

(Y/N): "Did you ask a kid to draw this or something?"

[She stands up flustered.]

Aqua: "Hey! I tried my best okay!"

[On it were obviously you and Aqua toward the middle of the page looking happy, while what looks to have been Kazuma off to the side was scribbled out.]

(Y/N): "And are these fake reviews!? Are you trying to make us look desperate!"

[Aqua wails as she grabs onto you, shaking you.]

Aqua: "It's to make our party look cool! How are we supposed to look cool with some one like Kazuma in our party?!"

Kazuma: "I heard that!"

(Y/N): "Lastly 'Advanced Classes Only', are you out of your damn mind!"

Aqua: "WAaaahaha!" [She shakes you bawling like a baby.]

[Kazuma shakes his head in annoyance.]

Kazuma: "At this point no one's going to want to join.."

[You push Aqua away and look at her.]

(Y/N): "Look, I'm not trying to be rude, but this is outrageous! Especially the last part, sure it's nice to have standards, but that's a bit of a tall order. As far as we know we're the only advanced classes in this town!"
