[Chapter 5] The Masochistic Knight

Darkness: "My name is Darkness, and my class is crusader, if you would have me... I would like to join your p-p-party please..! I can start immediately!"

[She pants as she looks at you, you notice Megumin slowly scoot away as she leaves you two alone.]

(Y/N): "I-I mean, I'd love to, but it's not really my-"

[She grabs your hand and leans in, making you blush even more.]

Darkness: "Tell me about the women in your party, why are they all slimy, what sort of horror befell those two!?" [She asks with an odd enthusiasm.]

(Y/N): "They uh.. t-they just got swallowed by a couple of giant toads.."

Darkness: "What!? Oh if only I were there.."

(Y/N): "W-what.?"

Darkness: "I-I mean, a-as a knight I cannot stand by and watch two tender young ladies be defiled by some creature!"

[You look away from her as you think.]

(Y/N) Thoughts: "Okay, she has a bunch of red flags.. but why is she still kinda hot..?"

(Y/N): "W-well I'd love to see what you can do- but it kinda isn't up to me so.. besides, one of our party members can only use her skills once a day, the other pretty much knows only party tricks, and the last one has no skills what so ever, while I am a Two-Handed Swordsman, I don't know much at all still!"

[She grabs onto your arm harder causing you to wince in pain.]

Darkness: "That is exactly what I am looking for!" [She stands up straight and looks down embarrassed.] "In all honesty, I have a slight confession to make.. although I am confident in my defensive abilities, I am.. quite clumsy, in fact, none of my attacks ever hit their mark..."

[She leans in grabbing you, your faces almost touching as you turn about as red as a tomato.]

Darkness: "I will not hesitate to charge the front line! You can use me as a shield, yes use me!~"

[Your brain starts to fry as your heart picks up speed, the heat of her breath against you, her crazed but wonderful blue eyes. You try your hardest to keep down your arousal, but luckily you eventually calm down and gently push her away.]

(Y/N): "I-I could never use a woman as a shield.." [You look off to the side.] "If anything I prefer to protect."

[She gets a confident look on her face as she looks at you.]

Darkness: "No no I wouldn't mind!"

(Y/N): "Well I do, given how we get attacked by monsters and all."

[Darkness gets aroused at the sound of that.]

Darkness: "O-oh I wouldn't mind that either!~"

[You look up and see her panting with an admittedly cute face, you turn and put your head in your hands.]

(Y/N)'s Thoughts: "Out of all the girls to have a crush on, it's gotta be the masochistic one."

[You sigh and look at her.]

(Y/N): "Sit."

[You scootch over and not at the spot next to you.]

Darkness: "My! Already trying to train me as your loyal dog!~"

[You face palm and shake your head as she sits next to you eagerly.]

(Y/N): "No. I just want to interview you a bit more is all, you want something to eat or drink."

[She shakes her head.]

Darkness: "No, I'm fine, thank you."

[You reach a hand out toward her.]

(Y/N): "Can I see your card?"

[She nods and hands it to you, you look it over.]

(Y/N): "Pretty good all around to be fair, minus accuracy which is.. zero.."

[You look over at her as she blushes and turns away.]

(Y/N): "Then again, I can always train you myself and we can get that up."

[You hand her her card back as she look at you, surprised.]

Darkness: "You'd be willing to train me..?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, I mean it's not like I have much to do in my spare time rather than making a few extra eris, so I think a change of pace would be nice."

[She gets that perverted look on her face as she looks at you.]

Darkness: "I-is that a so you can lure me out into the middle of no where and do as you please to me!?~"

(Y/N): "N-no! I mean y-your hot but I'd never go that far!"

[You instantly realize what you said as you cover your mouth, both you and Darkness blushing.]

Darkness: "O-oh my.."

[You bury your face in your arms.]

(Y/N): "I'm sorry.."

[She giggles as she pats you on the back.]

Darkness: "You're fine, I hear that a lot from a lot worse people."

[She stands up and smiles at you.]

Darkness: "As for your offer, I'd be happy to! Now I must be going, I'd hope you have an answer for me tomorrow, I'll be here."

[You smile and blush as you look away.]

(Y/N): "A-alright. I should have something in the morning." [You shyly look at her, you had to admit you were stooping into simp territory at this point.]

[She nods and gets a look of realization.]

Darkness: "I've realized, I've never gotten your name, are you Kazuma?"

[You shake your head.]

(Y/N): "No, I'm (Y/N) (L/N), Kazuma is- somewhere, you should be able see him in the morning though."

Darkness: "I see, well goodnight (Y/N)!"

[She walks out and waves as you wave back as you think to yourself.]

(Y/N)'s Thoughts: "Did I just pick up a girl!?"

[Kazuma walks out drying his hair.]

Kazuma: "Who were you talking to out here?"

[You turn to him.]

(Y/N): "Oh, just someone wanting to be a part of our party, you'll see her tomorrow."

[Kazuma's eyes light up.]

Kazuma: "Aww hell yea! Hopefully she's super strong, smart, hot, and useful!, Unlike those other two."

[You nervously chuckle as  you look away.]

(Y/N)'s Thoughts: "Ohh, he's in for a rude awakening..."

(Y/N) & Darkness: "Konosuba!"
