I died a lot to live a little with you

Present || Leonardo

Giovanni stood glaring at me. His dark blue eyes piercing into my soul.

"I asked you a question," He took a step forward, immediately making me take one back. I winced at the pressure I put on my ankle, a burst of pain shooting in my left leg.

"What are you doing?" He repeated again.

I gulped and managed to stutter out," I-I was just trying t-to find Teo."

If he could get any more scarier he did. He clenched his jaw, a vein in his forehead looking ready to burst at any given moment.

"You little shit, is this whole thing funny to you?!" He shouted.

I flinched and immediately shook my head.

Giovanni's eyes darkened and he took hold of my arms," You're not selling this pathetic act. Everyone knows you aren't innocent. After all, everything's your fault. It always is." He sneered.

I trembled in his hold, trying to squirm my way out but he would only tighten his arms.

We were really close to the stairs. Me wearing fluffy socks wasn't helping my case either.

Giovanni let go of me abruptly and chuckled," Maybe I should give you an accident, one that you'll remember."

My eyes widened at his words and without warning, he shoved me.

I lost my balance and felt myself trip at the first step. I desperately held out a hand to him, my eyes pleading for some sort of mercy, hoping that he would take it.

He grinned at me, an evil smile taking over his features, before he walked off.

I cried out for him, hoping he would turn around. Hoping this was some sort of trick and he would rush to my side and catch me before I fell.

Of course, I thought too much.

My body came in contact with the cold tiled stairs and tumbled down, a whimper leaving my mouth at each step I hit.

Black spots seeped into my vision and everything went dark.

I groaned, opening my eyes. It took a few seconds for my vision to adjust.

I wasn't surprised to still be in the same position. My body sprawled on the last few stairs, droplets of blood here and there.

Trying to stand up, my legs shook and I immediately collapsed. The ends of my sweatpants raised up and a huge bruise was evident from the top of my ankle to my calf. I gently touched it and a scream erupted from my mouth at the pain. I held my leg in pain, hoping to soothe it but that did nothing.

I needed my painkillers.

Fortunately, someone heard me scream and a maid rushed to me in shock when she took in my condition.
