Anastasia's POV (Edited)

I passed a big smile to the stage before stepping off the stage. I'm very aware that it would cause a chaos inside Aaron but what can I say.

Everything is fair in love, war and game.

And my friends, this is a war.

I glided confidentally knowing that Aaron would follow me. Of course, he would ask me questions. I was mentally prepared for this. I kept my walk and even met up with some guests on my way out.

Everyone congratulated me on my presentation and I passed them my practiced fake smile. In business, no-one is really your well wisher. Everyone is only looking for their own benefits and for that they can do anything even boot-licking the people they despise the most.

I was almost out to the exit when someone grabbed my arm causing me to stumble in my heels. I almost whimper but my voice got in my throat when I saw who it was.

I straightened my spine before jerking my arm off of his grip. I pushed him slightly before scolding him

"What the hell are you doing?"

His nostrils flared before he again got ahold of both of my arms and pulled me in. I tried to wiggle but he only tightened his grip. He looked dead into my eyes and gritted every single world

"What. The. Hell. Was. That?"

I feigned negligence although I knew damn well what he was talking about. I only shrugged before sassing back at him

"That was called a brilliant presentation. Don't you think so?"

I batted my eye lashes at him. He clenched his jaw so hard that I almost feared that he might break his jaw today. He dug his nails in my skin causing me to hiss in pain. I tried my best and jerked his hands off my body. I pushed him away before jabbing my fingers in his chest clearly warning him

"Don't you ever corner me like that, Aaron. You won't like the consequences of it."

He only chuckled. But God if I'm not lying, his chuckle ran a chill down my spine. He almost looked murderous. I never saw him that much angry. He rarely loses his temper and he's the one calculative person who chose to handle situations calmly rather by choosing violence.

But today, it seemed like he's choosing violence.

He ran his hands through his perfectly gelled hairs causing them to mess up. He again eyed me and spoke with venom dripping from his voice

"Tell me is that fun always trying to over-stepped me?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

I again feigned innocence before trying to leave the place but he grabbed my arm again and pulled me back slamming me into the wall. My eyes flared with rage before I tried to shout at him. But his rough hand covered my hand causing me to still.

What the hell is he doing?

He was breathing heavily and closes his eyes to control his temper. He opened his eyes again before he asked

"Tell me, is copying my every move so intriguing for you that you decided to sell down your morals?"

My head whipped in his direction before I asked angrily

"What is this about with my morals?"

He laughed darkly before he stated

"Tell me, Anastasia, do you think I wouldn't understand that you chose the very same project to present that I had been working since so long. Do you take me as a fool?"
