Live time A/N: I have decided to interpret the answer to last chapters question as a yes with no stipulations or rules.

Nico, after getting rid of the hellhound he found in the woods, shadow traveled to Bruce. When he received word that Bruce wanted the boy with him, Nico had assumed that he was in the cave or something.

Wrong. Very very wrong.

Nico stepped out of the shadows and immediately felt drained. He had recovered a lot since his almost disappearance act and it was now pretty weird for him to feel that drained while traveling alone. Originally he was going to blame the soul summoning, but when he looked out the window and saw space, he knew why he was so tired.

"A little warning next time about the distance would have been nice," Nico said, causing almost everyone in the room except Batman to jump. He didn't even care that some of them immediately pulled weapons on him as he braced himself against the wall.

Batman just handed him a small vial of nectar, barely looking at him, as he said, "noted."

Nico swiped the bottle from his had and downed it in one gulp. He and Bruce had discussed the way they would interact in mask ahead of time, and he was a little excited about it for some reason. As the nectar's effects kicked in, he finally stood up fully and eyed the bat.

"A truly heartwarming sentiment." Nico crossed his arms, not backing down when a Bat Glare was pointed at him. "You really make a guy feel special."

"Batman, care to introduce us?" Superman looked increasingly uncomfortable at the glare off between the two and it was only then that Nico noticed that the rest of the league was seated at a large table. "Please tell me this isn't a new Robin."

Batman pinched the bridge of his nose, the gesture apparently normal both in and out of costume, before turning to the others. "This is Ghost King, a consultant of mine."

Green Arrow raised an eyebrow. "You brought a consultant to our top secret base?"

"He is trust worthy enough."

The Flash let out a laugh. "The Batman trusts a stranger?"

Nico cut in, taking a step forward. "He means that I am working with him as a means to an end. If I betray you all, our deal is off."

Superman looked uneasy about the idea, but Nico guessed that it was more about the possibility that Bruce was blackmailing a kid. "What kind of deal is that?"

"A classified one."

It was at that glorious moment that Diana decided to make her entrance. "I apologize for being la-" her words cut off as soon as her eyes landed on Nico. She was immediately frozen where she stood, eyes wide in confusion or horror.

As she opened her mouth to speak, Nico interrupted. "Lady Diana, a word?" The boy didn't wait for a response, simply turning around and walked through the first door he saw. He had entered what looked like a break room and stood with his arms crossed as he waited for the Amazon.

After a moment, her and Bruce walked into the room. "Ni-"

"It's Ghost King." The boy glared at her.

"Sorry, Ghost King, what are you doing here? I thought you were on a mission."

"I am, but it doesn't mean I can't do other things. Some of us are able to help camp and the justice league at the same time."

Wonder Woman crossed her arms. "That is an unfair statement. You know that the terms-"

"I don't give a shit about the 'terms of your position.' You left us to die." Nico's words were ice cold.
