SILLY LITTLE ANECDOTE:
I'm not sure if anyone has ever really noticed the cover art for this story but it's meant to kind of intertwine the Alice in Wonderland and 'religious' (Heaven and Hell) themes of the story. So, I wanted to kind of draw some attention to it.
How the picture is perceived depends on the perspective. For context, down below I've flipped the image so you can see it both ways.
Is Winnie reaching for the hands or are they grabbing her?
Is she being lifted up, or dragged down?
In the early stages of designing this cover I knew I wanted it to look like she was falling down 'the rabbit hole' (into the hands). But I also wanted to play into the idea of the image ultimately being ambiguous.
It's truly meant to be up to each persons interpretation xx
