Ashley and Sara walked into their dorm room in silence after a movie night at Alex's place. The tension was palpable in the air, and Ashley couldn't help but notice how tense Sara seemed.

Ashley stopped in the middle of the room and turned to face Sara. "What's going on between you and Alex, Sara?" she asked, her voice soft but probing.

Sara hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Nothing, he's just a friend."

Ashley raised an eyebrow skeptically. "I saw how you both were looking at each other tonight, Sara. There's definitely something more going on."

Sara sighed, her shoulders slumping. "I... I am attracted to Alex," she admitted quietly.

Ashley's eyes widened in surprise. "But Alex has a girlfriend, Mia. You know that, right?"

Sara nodded, her gaze falling to the floor. "I know, I know. It's just... I can't help how I feel."

Ashley walked over to Sara and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I understand, Sara. But you have to respect their relationship. It wouldn't be right to come between them."

Sara nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "I know, I know. I just... I don't know what to do."

Ashley pulled Sara into a hug, feeling her friend's body shake with suppressed sobs. "It's okay, Sara.

Ashley took Sara's hand and made her sit on the bed.
Ashley looked at Sara with a thoughtful expression as she took in her friend's conflicted emotions. After a moment of silence, Ashley spoke softly, "Sara, I understand that you're attracted to Alex, but you need to remember that he's in a relationship with Mia. It's not fair to either of them if you were to come between them."

Sara nodded, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions—desire, guilt, and uncertainty. "I know, Ash. I never intended for this to happen. It's just... whenever I'm around Alex, I can't help but feel this connection, this pull towards him."

Ashley reached out and placed a comforting hand on Sara's shoulder. "I get it, Sara. Sometimes these things happen unexpectedly. But you have to be strong and not act on those feelings. It's important to respect other people's relationships, no matter how tempting it may seem."

Sara sighed and ran a hand through her hair, feeling the weight of her internal struggle. "I know you're right, Ash. I don't want to be the cause of any rift between Alex and Mia. They seem happy together, and I wouldn't want to ruin that."

Ashley nodded in agreement. "Exactly. It's important to prioritize their happiness and well-being above your own desires. Maybe it's best to distance yourself a bit from Alex and focus on other aspects of your life."

Sara considered Ashley's words, recognizing the wisdom in them. "You're right, Ash. Maybe I need to take a step back and re-evaluate things. I just don't want to lose his friendship either."

Ashley smiled encouragingly at Sara. "You won't lose his friendship, Sara. Just give yourself some space to sort out your feelings and focus on yourself for a while. Who knows, maybe the right person will come along when you least expect it."

Sara nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that Ashley was right, and that she needed to prioritize her own well-being and happiness above all else. "Thanks, Ash. I really appreciate your advice and support. I'll take some time to reflect on everything and try to move forward."
Ashley crossing her legs, and looked at Sara intently. "Sara, I think you should go on a date with someone else."

Sara's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why would I do that?"

Ashley leaned forward, her voice gentle but firm. "I know you have feelings for Alex, but he's with Mia. You can't come between them. It's not fair to anyone involved."

Sara dropped her gaze, feeling a turmoil of emotions inside her. She knew Ashley was right, but it was hard to accept. "I know, but it's just so hard. I can't help how I feel."

Ashley reached out and placed a comforting hand on Sara's shoulder. "I understand, Sara. But sometimes we have to do what's best for everyone, even if it's difficult. You deserve to find someone who can reciprocate your feelings without any complications."

Sara nodded slowly, her mind racing with thoughts and conflicting emotions. She appreciated Ashley's support and knew she was speaking from a place of concern for her well-being.

After a moment of silence, Ashley continued, "Why don't we make a deal? You go on a date with someone else, just to see what's out there. It could help you move on from Alex and focus on your own happiness."

Sara hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. "I don't know, Ashley. It feels like I'm betraying my feelings for Alex if I do that."

Ashley smiled reassuringly. "Sara, you're not betraying anyone by exploring other options. It's important to take care of yourself and your own heart. Who knows, you might find someone who makes you even happier than you thought possible."

Sara contemplated Ashley's words, feeling a glimmer of hope amidst the tangled mess of her emotions. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but perhaps it was time to take a step towards her own happiness.

"Okay," Sara said finally, looking up at Ashley with a small smile. "I'll give it a try. I trust your judgment, Ashley."

Ashley returned the smile, relieved to see Sara opening up to the idea. "Great! You won't regret it, Sara. And remember, I'll be here for you every step of the way."

As they sat in their dorm room, a sense of camaraderie and understanding filled the space between them. Ashley knew that helping Sara navigate her feelings for Alex would be a challenging journey, but she was determined to support her friend through it all.

And for Sara, taking that first step towards moving on from Alex felt both daunting and liberating. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but with Ashley by her side, she was ready to embark on a new chapter of self-discovery and growth.
the two friends embraced, a sense of understanding and solidarity enveloped them. They knew that no matter what challenges came their way, they could rely on each other for guidance, comfort, and unwavering support. And so, as they prepared to face the complexities of their feelings and relationships, Ashley and Sara found solace in the unbreakable bond of their friendship.
Sara nodded, her arms wrapping tightly around Ashley in return. In that moment, the two friends held onto each other, providing comfort and support in the midst of a complicated situation that had the potential to change everything.
