Even hangyeol, who stood expressionlessly by the side, could not help but wish to protect jennie because of the way she appeared right now.

hoseok, on the other hand, found the fat and ugly taehyung to be a little pitiful. The Kim family had relied on his engagement with his boss for so many years, and obtained so much benefit.

In the end, the Kim family turned out to be a bunch of bastards who were not at all grateful to him. Instead, they targeted him again and again.

"You're asking me why?" A hint of mocking appeared on jungkook's cold, stern features.

He did not feel even an iota of sympathy looking at jennie's pitiful appearance. Instead, his anger was about to blow up any moment. "Every single one of you has been taking turns to reprimand taehyung for being narrow-minded, petty, and selfish. You all seem determined to push him into a dead-end. None of you have bothered to listen to his explanation though. Why?"

Taehyung watched as jungkook protected him. The sharp pain in his chest, from being hurt by his blood-related relatives, eased significantly. Right now, he was no longer a weak victim who would stand still to take a blow from others. He immediately pursed his lips. "jennie, didn't you ask me why I didn't bring out the videos earlier?"

Well, he had done it intentionally to encourage jungkook to continue punishing these hypocritical bastards.

However, he would not admit this!

Weren't jennie and eunji especially good at playing up the righteous card all the time? He would be a good student and learn from them. "The reason I didn't bring these videos out when you first moved me into the guest room is because I cared too much about you, second sister..."

He transferred his gaze onto eunji. "And you as well, mother. I thought that, if the two of you wanted to erase the traces of the past seven years that I've spent living in the storeroom, so be it. You insisted on pretending as though you treated me well, but all the cosmetics and clothes you bought for me were nothing but rubbish. You abused me for years. It was only reasonable for jungkook to become unhappy and cease his aid to the Kim family. Originally... I had planned to never show these videos to anyone because I still valued our relationship. I wanted to keep the ugly truth hidden forever. But jungkook wanted to know what my living condition used to be like, didn't he? All I did was, give him a peek into it."

He took a deep breath and continued slowly. "Second sister said that jungkook has already punished the Kim family for abusing me. If he dealt out any more punishments after this, I would have definitely stopped him. Hence, even if the videos were revealed, there wouldn't have been any major consequences. Since he wanted to look at them, and they wouldn't harm anyone, what problems could there possibly be in him seeing them?"

His expression turned sorrowful as he watched the trio in disbelief. "But I never expected for each of you to... to criticise me for being selfish and petty just because of a small, harmless matter. You utterly destroyed my moral conduct with your words. Hold onto your conscience and ask yourselves: how much support has jungkook given to the Kim family over the years for my sake? During New Year and other important festivities, the gifts that the Jeon family delivered to you were always valuable and expensive. Out of all the benefits you received, was there a single portion of it that ended up in my hands? No! Those were the goodies that the Jeon family offered to the Kim family with me in mind, but not even a bit of it reached me. I was mentally abused, lived horribly and ate poorly in your home. I never made a single fuss about it. This was all because I cared too much about the three of you. But you have sure repaid me well. You actually accused me of wanting to force my own relatives to their deaths!"

The trio were becoming increasingly alarmed as they listened to him.

When hoseok and the rest of the bodyguards heard this, they all felt utter contempt for the three of them. The Kim family usually appeared to be proper and dignified. To think that they were actually this greedy!
