Warnings- about 1400 words, cussing, banter, road head. Cliffhanger in the end.

Hello loves!! I've missed you guys🖤 i have been busy as you all know I'm just about ready to release a novella in April on amazon and kindle. As exciting as that is I really can't wait. It's been stressful. And I have not been well enough to write any fanfics. I rather let time pass than force words to type on the screen.

I don't ever want to disappoint you with a bad chapter 😭

Thank you for understanding 💕

It was the morning after my tender bed moment with Miguel. And although it was very sweet. A part of me still feels conflicted.

I wished I didn't have to sneak out so early and get back to my room. I wished I could remain lying in his arms. I wished I could just spend the rest of my days comforted by his warmth.

His love.

I want him to be the first thing I see when I open my eyes. See the light shining fairly at his face. How it structures his chiseled jaw.

I want to trace my finger around and caress his face softly. Falling all over for him. Morning after morning.

But no.

At least not yet, no.

Maybe one day? Hopefully.

"Hey, morning kiddo."

"Morning Dad." I smile, entering the kitchen.

"You ok? You look sad."

"I'm ok. Just not enough sleep." I shake off my thoughts before I give myself away.

He smiles, uncertain. "Alright. Oh hey, I have to go to the country club with Antonia to go over some things for the wedding. Would you like to come with me?"

Though I'm trying to be okay and I think I am okay with it. I feel like I need a bit more time or at least all the time I can get before I have no choice but to help out with the wedding stuff.

"I don't want to impose. Today should feel special for both of you. I'll only be getting in the way." good thing I'm a fast thinker.

"Hey don't say that. I want you to be a part of this. I want to share the special event in my life with you."

He's good at sucking me in. I can't believe I'm about to say this. "I would love to accompany dress shopping with Antonia next week."

His face lights up and I feel warm inside seeing how happy my words made him. Okay, this was worth it.

"She would love that."

"Great."

Our moment slowly fades when a little girl comes running inside. "Good morning my peeps."

I chuckle. "Morning Gaby."

"Morning munchkin." Dad ruffles her hair.

She hugs him goodbye as if it's the last time. "I'm gonna miss you tio," she says with a hint of sadness.

"Hey, you're coming back next weekend."

She looks up at him. "I hope so."

My heart aches for the little girl. Not knowing if she's coming back because of the custody battle Miguel Is going through with her mom.
