She looked at the empty room with disheartened feelings as she walked towards the mirror standing in front of it
That bridal red lehenga that vermilion on her hair line that nuptial chain around her neck

But the man she got married to wasn't her love zayden harper
It was Atharva Oberoi She wasn't Tara Harper She was now Tara Atharva Oberoi
She touched the vermillion on her hair line with shaking hands as a lone tear rolled down her cheeks
She gulped hard 'you have to do this Tara at least it's good that he won't expect anything from you '
She held her heavy lehnga as she walked to the corner where her suitcase was placed she needs to set the clothes
She pulled the suitcase inside the walking closet as she walked inside only to gasp in shock as she those sarees and suits still hanging there
She knew those belonged to his ex wife she sighed looking for some vacant space where she could settle her things

As he muttered lightly "that's my wife's clothes I'll remove them"
She looked at him and gulped "don't remove them I'll make some space for myself don't remove them that's you wife's clothes" she pointed at the clothes

But soon realised why she reacted that way yes ofc she also doesn't expect anything from the marriage and that's good
He nodded and went inside the washroom as she slid down huffing as she sat there in dilemma still not able to accept her fate
A few minutes later she heard a whisper "you can change"
As she looked up at the man standing in front of her now changed
She got up holding her heavy lehenga as she walked inside the washroom

She checked her self in the mirror 'he won't think that I am seducing him right? No he won't he isn't like that maa ne bataya thaa wo waise nhi hai i won't be able to sleep in a kurti I hope he doesn't think that I am trying to seduce him or something' she thought to herself
As she looked at the knee length long tshirt

She walked out as she saw him sitting on the couch resting his head back on the head rest with his eyes closed
"Are the kids asleep or should I-" before she could complete her sentence
He said Coldly his voice increasing a little " They are my kids I can handle them on my own you don't need to worry about them"
Tara looked at him astonished she has talked with him before marriage he didn't seem this rude neither his tone was this harsh before
Even the kids got familiar with her in one month then why was he acting like this now

She walked out banging the door not knowing where to go at this hour but she definitely won't stay in his Fuckin room
She breathed heavily finally letting her tears flow down which she was trying to control since her vidai
As she felt a lump in her throat she broke into sobs "why did you leave me all alone zayden why?"
She cried walking down the corridors when she heard crying of a baby
She hurriedly looked at the doors in the corridors she remembered aakarsh showed her this room saying that's a play room for kids
She opened the door hurriedly and saw agastya crying as he sat up rubbing his eyes
She knew they made them sleep here knowing it was their first night but this was so wrong
She was about to enter when the words of her husband echoed in her ears
'i can handle my kids on my own'
But she looked at agastya who was walking towards her with wobbly steps in a desperate need of someone as his cries increased
She hurriedly walked inside shutting the door behind
As she picked him up in her arms "calm down baby calm down it's okay I am here" she whispered patting his head
"B-bad moner" {bad monster} he tried to explain as he got scared
"Shhh shh calm down I am here no bad monster will scare my baby now shuu shuu go away bad monster how dare you scare my baby agu" she tried to coo him as he hugged her his sobs subsided while Tara forgot her pain getting busy with agastya who was now her son too
She looked at him who was resting his head on her shoulder wide awake
"Go to sleep betu" she whispered kissing his temples
He was small but he was used to her talks now as aakarsh always used to video call her and she met these two often
He shook his head as she clutched on her tshirt thinking she would leave him once he is asleep
"I am here baba I won't leave go to sleep meri jaan" she assured him patting his back as she sat down on the bed while he yawned slightly closing his eyes
A few minutes later Tara heard a cold voice "I told you I can handle my kid's on my own you can act being that siddhi sadhi ldki in front of my family but this drama of yours won't work in front of me so leave"
Tara looked at him in disbelief 'how can he?' she thought to herself
As she carefully laid agastya down "yes you can handle your kid I can see how well you were handling him by taunting me in the room while he was crying here in the dark room and secondly you like it or not both of them are also my kids now so you better get that inside this brain of your Mr Oberoi"
Tara said her voice low yet firm she didn't waited for his answer as she walked out while he stared at her blankly
'huh shadi krli tou bache iske hogy. RUBBISH.' Atharva thought to himself looking at her retreating figure
