Amidst the Starlets of the Night,
The Heavenly Lantern Aglow of an Illuminance so Bright.
Sandman Lulls Us to Satin-Dressed Feather-Cushioned Bed,
Implanting Visions of Sweet Dreams to Dance in Our Heads.
There’s Nothing to Dread,
With Nightmares at Bay,
It’s as if On the Wings of Lunesta
We’ve Sweetly Dozed Away.
In the Stillness of the Night,
As All Lay Cozily at Slumber,
Up High Beyond the City’s Studded Lights,
Is an Ethereal Presence Perhaps of Hidden Wonder;
Ubiquitous Vigilance.
A Rest He Never Seeks,
This Guardian Who Never Sleeps…
The Night Watchman of Our Souls As We Sleep.
