Scene:
Person 1: (They look at what you are reading) Oh cool, you're reading (Insert book name).
Person 2: Yeah. It's pretty great so far.
Person 3: Well. don't get attached to the main character. She dies at the end.
*Smack!*
But don't be so quick to blame everyone else for ruining your book. You can be your own worst enemy. If you are like me, sometimes you just have to look in the back of the book and see how it all ends. Then BOOM! Your favorite characters are all dead. Probably wish you would have waited, huh? Now you are miserable for the rest of the book.
