Shayla's p.o.v.

I shook my head and snapped out of it.

"Wait, you just graduated from Verona High School?" I questioned with a serious look but I couldn't help but stare into his eyes, goodness- how beautiful they are.

"Yeah," he said weirdly and a little uncomfortable, "about a week and a half ago- may you please not stare at me like that?" He looked at the front window to avoid eye contact. I blinked a few times in embarrassment and sighed.

"S-Sorry, I'm just tired right now and I guess I just um blanked out?" Man, despite my popularity and confidence in school, somehow I'm more shyer outside? Wait, that doesn't make sense. Alright, maybe because it's so late right now that I can't even think straight.

A car honked behind us and I realized Harry hasn't moved since he did that dramatic stop. He then resumed driving again.

"So, where do you live or where are you heading around this awful time? Are you about to go to your boyfriend's house to have sex?" He laughed after that and though it was bad timing for me since I did just broke up with my now 'ex', I laughed as well because I actually found it funny.

"Haha, you're hilarious," I said sarcastically, "but no, as a matter of fact, I just broke up with him about a few moments ago which is why I'm out here all alone"

I'm not exactly sure if I mentioned all that a bit too serious or depressing but it sure made an awkward silence to occur for a minute.

"Oh, I didn't know" I heard him say and I considered it as an apology even though honestly, I wasn't really hurt by the break up. I'm actually very relieved and proud that I drew a line to finish everything. That relationship just had to end, I couldn't stand anymore of the cheating, tears, and fights. Everything was so wonderful in the beginning (like all relationships of course), but then it came to the point where so many complications were made and I couldn't stay that strong enough.

After an even longer moment of awkward silence, Harry then pulled into a parking lot and shut his car off. I was puzzled and scared and asked him,

"Why are we parked next to a park?" my breath hitched and my eyes went big in fear, "Oh no, are you actually a criminal? Is this your plan of killing me?" I looked around the car and outside to see anything suspicious but I got too scared and started to panic. I wanted to cry so badly but that would be so babyish and dumb.

"I told you from the start," Harry said annoyingly, "I'm not anything bad, I have no criminal records, I don't smoke, I hate drinking," he took a deep breath before he continued, "do you not listen or trust me?"

"Well, not only do I have trust issues but I just met you and have no idea who you are but your name" I lowered in my seat and bowed my head while fiddling with my ripped jeans.

"Just trust me," he replied while opening his seat belt then car door and got out, "I won't do anything bad." I looked up at him and he signaled his head at me to get out of the car. I gulped and followed his command.

"Fine, but if you do anything wrong or illegal, I'm calling the police right away" I said while giving him a serious look and showing my phone in one hand. He rolled his eyes and chuckled,

"Whatever you wish, Shayla"

I don't know why, but the way he says my name, I hate it but somehow love it too... Ew.
