chapter 9

"Maria!" she turn around facing me, realising its me.

I push through the crowd approaching her.

"Can I talk to you?" she slightly nods in confusion.

We walk into a corner room which is just across the hall.

I shut the door and lean against it.

"Are you ok?" Maria looks at me weird, like I didn't know.

if you don't know, Marias dad and mum divorced.... well are going to divorce she hadn't told anybody, and I know she hasn't told anybody. she's not like that, she can't tell anyone what's hurting her the most. how do I know? please. I like next door, you think I couldn't hear the fighting? glass shattering, doors slamming, people crying, Maria, crying. I know we aren't friends but it doesn't mean that I can't comfort her about something she's afraid to talk about.

she try's to walk away but I stop her.

"If you need to talk to me, I'm right next door" her confused look is gone.

she swallows.

"you" she gulps again "know?"

I nod slightly.

"Uh uh sorry I have to go" she says quickly slightly bumping me when she walks back.

The bell goes.

"For fuck sake" I mumble.

Someone taps me on the shoulder, pulling me back a little.

I turn around "Ethan?! What the fuck do you want"

"No ju-" I walk of and again someone's pulls back.

"Again Ethan what the-" is not Ethan, it's grace.

She looks at me confused "anyway there's this party tomorrow wanna go"

"No" I roll my eyes.

"Oh please please please please, I won't drink!"

I look at her straight in the eye "Fine"

"Fuck sake lily! Your so fussy!"

"Excuse me I have literally no clothes to wear"

She looks at me and pulls out a white short top and some grey high waisted shorts.

"Fuck you grace" I say snatching the clothes from her hand.

"Love you too bitch but can we go now??"

"fine!!"

We arrive at..... Whoevers party we're at.

I look at the house, I've seen it before.

I shoot my head at Grace "The dolans house really?!"

She grins and locks the car.

As soon as I walk through the door I hear multiple of boys whistling.

Assholes.

Grace runs of somewhere so I'm standing at the door alone.

"Fuck sake" someone knocks me slightly.

"Yo watch your going man"

"Excuse me your the on-"

I turn around and see Ethan.

"Lily" I step away a little. "What are you doing here"

"Grace took me here, but I'll think I'll leave now" I grin a cheesy smile and step back but someone stops me.

I turn around "where are you going slut?"

"Grace fuck off!" She hands me a drink and laughs.

I gulp it all down and stubble a bit when I'm down.

"Woooo that's a great drink, get me more"
