It happened one thursday afternoon

I got out of a grocery store with heavy hands,

still pondering about Trump as President

I looked at the heavens still with heavy hands,

as I walked mindlessly along the parking lot

The birds on the wire of a post caught my attention

One of them was so close to a shiny part of the wire

An open wire

flinch flinch

goes the bird

a little step closer to falling

flinch flinch

goes the bird...

I heard a little zap and stopped walking

It fell

It fell with style

Like a failed paper airplane

One of the bag's handle snapped

As I put them down, the bottom also snapped

I saw my oranges racing towards the highway

I tried to chase them, but I was weak

One by one, they would burst

My poor oranges

I let that be

and

went back to

my remaining bags

Just to see that they were gone

Looked here, and there, ran through it all

I tried to think how much money I have left

One by one, thoughts of hunger popped in my head

My whole week of food, vanished

I sat down by the curb

and think of my

well-off

friends

I saw something in front of me

The little bird was still alive

gave its feathers a shake and flew

Amazing thing that it survived

So if the bird overcame a zap,

Will I do too? in a week?

Oh crap

Hope so.. Haha

Thank You for all the votes guys~ couldn't thank you one by one :)
