Chapter five

JIMIN

THE PLANE RIDE WAS UNINTERESTING.

Taehyung and Hoseok sat on either side of me. On any other occasion, we would have had fun on each other's expenses, but today, all three of us crashed into sleep.

I was pleasantly surprised when the descending of the flight, coupled with a woman's soothing voice telling us to keep our seatbelts fastened woke me up.

When the plane came to a halt, I stood up. My eyes immediately searched Jungkook.

Jungkook was looking my way too. For some reason, that made my heart flutter.

"save me," he mouthed to me. I bit back a laugh.

He was stuck between Namjoon and Jin, who were locked in their own sweet argument.

I looked away from him. I nudged both Tae and Hobi. "Come on. We've reached." When that didn't work, I shook both their shoulders. Hard.

"Hey! Napping person here!" Taehyung whined.

"Yeah, and the flight is not going to accommodate you. Get up."

Hoseok hyung woke up groggily, rubbing his eyes. "I fell asleep?"

"Yeah," said Taehyung. "Please tell Jimin to stop bothering me so that we can sleep again?"

I glared at him. Then Namjoon's tall shadow came up behind me. "Get up. Both of you. We have to go."

"I second that." Said Jin on his side.

They both stood up, stretching and yawning. Taehyung slapped me playfully on the shoulder, which I replied with a smirk. Hoseok hyung muttered something about "going to get up, anyway."

Yoongi Hyung made his presence known at that moment. "Let's Go." he said. "I want to sleep."

"You slept the entire flight, hyung," said Jungkook.

"Whatever." He sauntered out of the plane.

We soon followed, holding our bags.

I once again found myself in between Kookie and Tae. They were laughing about something.

I took a deep breath, smelling the tang of the ocean, the salt in the soft breeze.

We were in Thailand, at a beach resort called Rai Leh. Our company had sponsored a trip with the members in our free time ahead of the release of our new album to "unwind".

"Yo Jimin!" called Taehyung. "What are you doing there? Come here?"

He had an arm around Jungkook's shoulder, who looked very happy. His cheeks were flushed slightly pink from the heat. He grinned at me.

"Nothing." I said, picking up a jog to reach there. I slung an arm around Taehyung's shoulder so that he was between me and Jungkook.

"Ya Jimin hyung!" said Kookie. "Why are you so short?"

"Shut up, Kookie-ah" I said. "That joke's so old."

But Taehyung laughed like there was no tomorrow. I slapped the back of his head, which made him laugh harder.

I removed my hand from Taehyung's shoulder, and began walking ahead.

I felt Hobi hyung come up behind me. "Give me a piggy back!" He said.

I complied.

Ah. I was enjoying this already.

When we reached the lobby of the resort, Namjoon hyung paired our rooms.
