"And so then while I'm working at the club guess who I run into." I spoke to Romeo with a mouth full of toothpaste.

"Who?" He asked sitting dressed.

"My mother." I said and spit the toothpaste out.

"Your mom? Where is she?"

"She left."

"Left? Where the hell did she go?"

I shrugged my shoulders and wiped my mouth off. "Who knows."

Romeo shook his head. "Maybe you should go visit your sister."

"Hell no."

"Why not?"

"Because of the way she treated me. She doesn't deserve to be visited."

Romeo laughed. "Mo stop being stubborn and go see her."

I sighed thinking about it. "Since I don't have work today, I will."

"Good."

I went into my closet looking for an outfit.

"What are your plans for today?" I asked Romeo while picking out a silky brown shirt.

"Uh. Probably just going to chill at home. What about you?"

"Morgan just returned from Europe so I'm going to spend the day with her then afterwards I'm going to consider visiting my sister." I told him and grabbed some jeans to go with my shirt.

"Have fun." He said and jumped on the bed turning on the tv.

"I will."

Before Nick and I leave Chicago I decided to go see my old homies Tony and Jo.

We currently were all sitting on Jo's porch smoking and catching up.

"You heard about Monica getting married." Jo said as smoke flowed freely from his mouth.

I smacked my lips.

"Don't bring her up. He's just jealous." Nick butted in.

"Jealous of what? A hoe?"

"Don't try and call her a hoe because she found someone else. You were the one that left her." Nick said.

He was right. I did leave her high and dry a few years back.

Tony and Jo both laughed at me.

"Whatever. That Romeo guy ain't any good anyways."

"Oh yea? How do you know?" Tony asked and put his blunt in the ash tray.

I shrugged. "I got that feeling."

"What feeling?" Jo asked.

"Just a feeling nigga. He seems fishy to me."

"Nah. Jealousy is in the air." Nick said making everyone laugh except me. I didn't find shit funny.

"Enough laughing. I don't know about y'all but I'm going to get something to eat." I stood up from the chair and grabbed my keys.

"We'll tag along."

I scanned the menu of T.G.I. Friday's. I didn't really like this place but Morgan picked it.

"See anything you want?" Morg asked.

I scrunched up my face. "Everything on here looks unhealthy."
