Oh dear dwarf, you said your name was Happy,
But how come your eyes revealed a gloomy story?
When I was nearby, you never glanced at me.
You sat at the corner while others danced with glee.
You used to give me love letters each, and every day.
❝I'll protect you as long as I live,❞ you used to always say.
But the prince came and saved me before you could.
It all happened so fast and there you stood.
Prince and I were leaving the town soon.
The air was filled with the endless remorseful tune.
And there you were, sitting alone under the oak tree.
A tear rolled on your left cheek. ❝Milady?❞
You opened your mouth, but no words came out.
Biting your lip, you finally shared your self-doubt.
Why did you think I was too good for you?
The truth was you deserved way more than you do.
That glass on the wall would most definitely tell you,
How lovely you were inside, if only you knew.
Years passed, and my ebony hair turned gray.
In your eyes, memories started to replay;
They seemed to come from a distant dimension,
One by one they unfolded without intention.
Grief changed you through all those years;
Your eyes were dry, and shed no more tears;
A beautiful soul turned pitch black.
In your hands were an ax and a sack.
Carved name on the ax turned into Wicked,
Inner demons were no longer restricted.
Bubbly smile morphed to a sinister grin,
You knew you were prepared to make a sin.
I woke up in bed alone one day,
❝My prince, please be all right,❞ I prayed.
You had showed yourself in front of me and said,
❝Milady, ready to eat breakfast instead?❞
🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸
