"The Places in Pine Meadow" is a collection of stories revolving around two close siblings and their pet cat.
Elly Peterson is a clever child who spends her time pressing leaf bookmarks and playing in her cozy pillow fortress. She's known as a diligent student who can't be kept away from a dusty library and a good book.
Jamie Peterson is an adventurous child who enjoys playing pirates with only his imagination and a long stick. He's known as a troublemaker who can't resist causing a little harmless mayhem with his friends.
When their black cat, Pip, runs off one night chasing a mouse, Elly and Jamie are forced to pursuit their pet into the dark forest. But after finally catching up to their pet, both children find that they aren't in a normal forest anymore.
They're now in the fantastical place of Pine Meadow.
