Daryl's POV
Still flashback
I was walking in the woods and it's only been a day since I left the house and my wife behind and I miss her very much but I need to find Merle and y/n.
I kept walking and i heard something like a stick breaking but I didn't know what it was so I hid behind a tree and got my knife out of my pocket. That's when one of those things came out beside of me and it looked over at me and before it could attack I stabbed it in the head. Apparently that's how you kill them because if you try to stab them it won't work so just aim for their head
*Time skip a couple of days*
I was still walking in the woods and I've had many obstacles to get to the safe house were Merle and sunshine is but I finally made it but it was over run by those things but I knew that they wouldn't be in there
I walked around the building avoiding the things and I found some foot prints so I started tracking them
*Another time skip by Daryl's crossbow*
It's been a week and I still haven't found them and I lost their tracks. And I'm starting to get really hungry so I got my crossbow out and shot a squirrel and set up camp
About an hour later I heard something walking and I got up and got my crossbow and walked over to the sound and when I did I found people. And they were alive and not like those things but I still put my crossbow up because I don't know if I can trust them
"Who are you" I said with a stern voice
"Hey hey why don't you put down the bow man" the guy said
"I said who are you" not listening to what he was saying
"My name is Shane and we have a camp close to here and we wanted to know if you would join
"How can I trust you" I said
"You can't but I would really like you to" the guy named Shane said
"Ok but I'm keeping my weapons" I said lowering my bow
"Ok that's fine" he said smiling
End of flashback
And I have been looking for her and my brother ever since but after a couple of years with them I lost hope on finding them but now I have sunshine with me and my brother
