"Fuck" I slammed the phone down, I've been here for almost two months, an there had still been no answer from my mom, or- anybody back home

Everyone was outside skating, I said I was going to the bathroom real fast but really I just wanted to call, hoping for an answer

I got out from behind the counter an walked outback where everyone was

I stood over by Ruben who was talking to the boy that was in the shop two days before. I backed up to the wall they were standing by and slid down to sit

"Did she not answer?"

"Huh"

He looked at me confused "your mom? Did she answer?"

I Gave him the same confused look back, an sat there silent
"No, she didn't answer"

I kinda zoned out after, I began feeling sick to my stomach.

"Hey Stevie go fill this up" I look up to see Ruben handing the water jug to the small boy, a smile lit up on his face as he ran to fill it up

"I think I'm gonna go home, I'll see you guys later" I stood up and began walking to the door to go inside

I sat on the couch for a second to cool off, the boy who was outside walked out from the bathroom carrying the jug
"Hey a-are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just don't feel good. It's really hot outside" I gave a small smile

"Do you want a drink of water? I can go fill it back up when your done?" He smiled and held out the water jug

"No thanks" I smiled and stood up "what's your name kid?"

"Stevie"

"Cool, I like that name, well I'm willow" I walked over to him messing up his hair before I turned away to walk out

"Hey willow you still here?" I seen Ruben walking in

"Yeah, but I was about to go"

I looked back at Stevie "see you later kid"

I walked out the door, feeling both of there eyes on me

I took a bus home, I was to exhausted to skate out in the heat. I put my hair up, it was beginning to annoy me, how long it was.

I opened a bag of skittles, I tossed them in the air to make an attempt to catch it in my mouth.

I heard girls laughing behind me, but I didn't pay attention to it.

"Hey" some girl sat beside me, she had short hair, wore shorts, and a baggy tee shirt

"Hi" I think she noticed me somewhat checking her out

She smiled and put her hair behind her ear
"I'm Estee"

"I'm willow"

She laughed a little "I like your name"

I smiled "thanks"

"So aren't you the girl who's been hanging around rays group?"

"Uhm, yeah I guess you could say that"

"Has any of them tried to mess with you yet?" She raised her eyebrow and leaned back in the seat

"No, I told them I was gay"

Her eyebrows raised more "oh really"

"Yeah" I laughed a little

"Well I'm having a party this weekend, your more than welcome to come" she handed me a piece of paper with a number and an address

The bus stopped and she stood up, she tucked a piece of hair behind my ear "see you around willow" she waved and she walked off with her friends behind her

I'm not gonna lie she's pretty hot, I looked out the window as the bus moved.  I was in Down town L.A

"Shit, I missed my stop"
