AUTHOR’S NOTE: While this is not going to be my best work, enjoy my take on deconstruction of a love story. All names and events were used for creative excellence. Any similarity between this novelette and real life events was not intentional. You may decide if you want to follow this or not after this chapter. This is not for everyone. Bluntly said, this is my first R-18 novelette. Thank you.

Chapter Zero

From his grades to his looks, one can say that there is nothing extraordinary about Aaron. He is from a middle-class family, he has a set of friends and he has a girlfriend. Yet Aaron is growing tired of doing the same things over and over again.

He is now on his third year of study and today is the start of enrollment for the second semester. He is already wishing for a ghost to appear in front of him or his college gets tormented by tornadoes just to experience something new.

“Bored ka na naman, Aaron.” Leila said. Aaron noticed that she is grinning as if she is mocking his disinterested attitude.

“Paulit-ulit na lang ginagawa natin e. Mag-eenroll, papasok, makikipagkuwentuhan, uuwi, mag-aaral tapos matutulog.

He sighed then took his report of grades for the last semester.

                “Medyo chickboy yan e.”

Aaron’s eyes turned into slits. He did not get his friend’s sarcastic wit. He also noticed some girls gush over their object of conversation. “Heartthrob siguro ito.” He said to himself.

“Chickboy? Ano bago roon?” Aaron said instead. “Wala e. Medyo mas gwapo sa akin e. Saka hindi ko siya kilala. Weird naman kung kilalanin ko siya.” He made sure he said those words in the driest manner so his friend will not be able to retort. However, what Aaron received was a very strange look from his friend.

Leila sighed. “Saang kuweba ka ba nabubuhay? Required tayo sa dorm manuod noon a.”

Aaron just shrugged off her remarks then took a second look at the person she is talking about.

“May rumors. Hindi ko lang alam kung totoo. Crush ko pa naman siya. Ang cute niya oh. Hindi niya girlfriend iyan. Mukhang puno eh.”

“Malay mo naman, mahal niya talaga oh.” Aaron just dismissed what his friend said. He made a mental note to deliberately avoid her next time if she will talk about that guy again.
