this is the story they don't tell you about
the reason fairytales don't have sequels
there are monsters that live
beneath our skin
(i name mine fear, fury and sin)
and sometimes they masquerade as people
they don't tell you how they crawl
up your throat like a scream in the night
and leave you choking on your breath
how the villain often lies awake
in the clutches of living death
this is the story they don't tell you about
but it's one you know too well
the story of the stains that never wash out
a story you'll never tell.
