She stood alone, on earth's highest peak hoping that he would answer her. The pair had not gazed upon each other for thousands of years and part of her was worried that he'd changed and that she wouldn't like what she saw. Lucifer's fall tore them both up in different ways. Though she was the first to leave heaven, he had thrown himself into his work and isolated himself from even her long ago. She did not raise her voice so he could hear her over the howling wind around her, she simply bowed her head and whispered,

"Elohim" She smiled as she could already feel his attention turn to her. His own soft voice echoed through her mind,

"Rose" She closed her eyes, her smile growing at the sound of his voice. A voice she hadn't heard in so long nor had she been called by that name. Just as he had gone by the name Chuck, she took the name Victoria. When she opened her eyes again, the wind around her had ceased and the snow had stopped falling. Across from her stood her beloved, the one she had loved with all her heart. His eyes wide and he was frozen. She couldn't help the emotions that flooded to the surface, all of a sudden she realised how alone she had been. Once she started to cry, he rushed to her, pulling her into him, "Oh, my beautiful princess. Where have you been for thousands of years?" Rose still cried. The goddess's strength wavering and she felt weak in his arms but she never wanted to let him go,

"I've never felt so alone" She finally managed to say through strangled sobs. She felt a warm kiss on her temple and noticed his own tears crawling down his face. She rest her forehead against his and they held each other,

"Neither have I" He replied. She finally lifted her gaze to look him in the eye. His icy blue eyes searched her own soft brown, finally they were in the presence of whom they have pined for for centuries. Rose's hand cupped his face, stroking his stubble and her smile grew,

"You shaved" She said. He chuckled too,

"Yeah, I see you've changed too" His own hand moved to cup her cheek too, "I've missed you"

"I never want to be apart from you for so long again" She said, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down to her level where their lips finally touched. Both deities' hearts beat a million miles a minute, their stomachs flooded with butterflies and it felt like their first kiss all over again. This kiss was soft and loving, gentle as if they were worried they'd break. Once it was over, Chuck kissed his wife's forehead and pulled her into yet another hug. The pair sat down together in the snow, not wanting to let go of each other. Rose enjoyed her husband's warmth and Chuck loved his wife's gentle presence as she snuggled into him. The pair were truly happy. The stress of the world melted away from them as they drifted off in each other's arms.
