The drive was pretty quick and silent seeing as Layla was in no mood to talk.

They stopped in front of Matthew's house as Layla sighed out, The same house Layla remembered so vividly running out of with tears in her eyes.

She bit back a sob as she opened the car door

"You okay sweetheart?" Leana asked softly as she glanced at Layls

"Yeah, I am. Love you Mom...See you soon"
s

he said, Kissing her mom on the cheek and getting out of the car. She slowly walked up to the front door and knocked softly on it, Waiting for an answer.

Matthew came to the door dressed in only sweatpants...No shirt.

'Sweet jesus' she thought looking back to see that her mother was already gone
"Hi" she whispered as she looked up at him,

He looked at her as he moved to the side to let her in, As she walked past him her arm brushed his chest ever so slightly,
She could feel him tense from her touch as she quickly moved away from him

'Layla come on, Nothing is gonna happen'
s

he told herself, Sitting on his sofa

"Do you want anything from the kitchen?" he asked low and scruffy, Like he had been crying, But that couldn't be right, It's been months...Right?

Layla wanted to kiss so badly as she sighed inaudibly

'He probably already found someone new' she thought to herself as she shook her head

"So are you dating anyone right now?" she asked lowering her voice with each word, it was a shock to her that the words escaped her lips, Nontheless; It came out anyway.
S

he held her breath for his answer, She had completely ignored his question and blurt out that?...What was wrong with her?

"I don't need or want another woman in my life, My bed, Nor my heart, So no; I am not dating anyone. Do you want anything from the goddamn kitchen?" he spoke calmly, Trying to contain himself from slamming her against the wall and taking her.

'Damn, She's so gorgeous' he thought to himself as he moved around the room anxiously

"...H-How did everything go with crinshaw-"
s

he was cut off by his deep voice booming through the housr

"It was cleared up Layla...Like I told you it would be" he said curtly as he looked her in her eyes

"I'm glad" she whispered, Twirling her thumbs together

"Doesn't seem like it" he mumbled, Running his fingers through his hair. Layla just looked at him with a pained look on her face but quickly covered it up as she turned on the tv
'You got this Layla, Just breath' she told herself as she took a deep breath.
