The Forgotten Knight (Awaiting Rewrite)

Jason and Jaune

Jaune followed team FNKI as they walked traveled to where their information would lead them to Watts. Suddenly they heard a scream, FNKI ran to where they had heard the scream while Jaune ran behind them in case they needed help. Neon skated ahead and saw a young boy managing to stab a reynard. Reynards are Fox like Grimm that hunt in packs, they are the size of common wolf but with the exeption that their jaws can open much wider than most Grimm. The young man turned and with what seemed to be a sword, slashed at another Reynard causing it to back on fear, but another one leaped into the air and the young boy turned to see the Reynard diving for him, he readied his sword but the Grimm was shot kicked away by Neon. The young man seemed surprised and watched as the rest of team FNKI came in and killed the rest of the Reynards. Jaune stopped and listened behind a tree.

Neon approched the kid, "Hey little guy, what are you doing out here?"

The kid looked up to her, "I'm looking for my dad, I traveled from vale to look for him here" the kid replied

"well, what about your mother?" Neon asked "where's she?"

"She's in Argus... She came looking for my dad as well. I went ahead of her because I wanted to see him myself" The kid replied

"I see..." Flynt began "what's your name kid?" Flynt asked

the kid looked hesitent to give them his name but decided to do so, "I'm Jason Xiao-Long" the kid replied

Jaune's heart almost stopped. Xiao-long!? this kid was Yang's!? does that mean...

"Your mothers Yang?" Flynt asked with shock

"yes" Jason replied

Flynt sighed, "well I can kinds see the resemblance, but whos your dad?" Flynt asked

"That would be me" came a voice

Jaune stepped out of the trees and walked to Jason and then kneeled in front of him. Jason without thinking hugged his long lost father. Jaune was stunned but he gladly returned the hug back.

"I think we have a lot to talk about" Jaune said with a tear rolling down his face

Jaune and Jason sat with Team FNKI, Jaune was the first to start the conversation

"how's your mom?" Jaune asked

"...She's doing ok... she came here looking for you" Jason replied

Jaune nodded, "I heard you say that" Jaune told him, "I'm sorry I wasn't around..." Jaune told him

"but you didn't know! Mom didn't tell you about me!" Jason said

"True... But I gave up, I thought she left me because she needed space or because it was over between us. I just accepted it and left" Jaune replied

Jason shook his head, "you can't blame yourself for what Mom did, It was Mom's fault for being scared and not telling you" Jason replied

Jaune smiled at his son, Seeing him already be this mature and such a young age warmed his heart. He wondered if Ember would be like that... Oh Crap...

Jaune sighed, "Jason theres something you need to know" Jaune began

"what is it dad?" Jason asked

"you..." Jaune began "you have a half-sister" Jaune told him

Jason looked at his father dumbfounded, "what"

Neon laughed before Flynt hit her over the head, "OW! Flynt!"

"Don't laugh Neon, I'm sure Jaune and the kid have enough on their plate as it is" Flynt told her

"He has a point you know" Kate replied

Neon just huffed.

"So what's my sisters name?" Jason asked

"Ember, Ember Fall" Jaune replied

Flynt then stopped, and looked to Jaune, Jaune looked to Flynt and saw his look, "we'll talk about it later" Jaune told him

Flynt nodded.

"Where is she?" Jason asked

"She's with my sister Saphron and her wife Terra-Cotta" Jaune replied

"but thats where Mom and the others went" Jason replied

'Oh Fuck me... The brothers are not giving me a day off huh?' Jaune thought to himself, "How about we talk more later, it's getting dark and I think you could use some rest" Jaune replied

Jason nodded and hugged his dad, Jaune wasn't use to this but still hugged his son back with a loving embrace. Jason went to his tent(which he brought with him) and tried to fall a sleep.

Jaune then looked to Flynt, "So, you already guessed who's Ember's mother right?" Jaune asked

Flynt nodded, "Cinder Fall, One of the most wanted terrorist in Remnant" Flynt replied "Where is she Jaune?" Flynt asked

"Dead" Jaune said with a bitter tone "Tyrian Callows and Arthur Watts attacked us and killed her, but we got a few hits in" Jaune replied

"you better be telling the truth Jaune" Flynt replied

"I am" Jaune said "Arc's promise"

Flynt knew about how seriouse the Blonde took his promises, "Ok, but you were following us weren't you?" Flynt asked

"yeah, I was in town and heard you talking to Ironwood" Jaune replied "close the Window next time Flynt" Jaune said

Neon laughed but Flynt hit her on the head. Jaune hoped that they would be getting close. After he kills Watts and Tyrian, then he can go home, maybe he could go back to Yang...
