When the night seems darkest;
When my hope is all but gone,
I turn my eyes far upward,
For now, the stars shine bright as dawn.
Shadow can be great;
Sorrow, holding fast your will.
Yet, even in the darkness,
We find the light is greater still.
Death seems sweet at times;
Escape the darkness, far below.
But you may miss what's there:
The stars are brighter than you know.
All the world is darkened;
Wandering, lost, their chance passed by.
But now the choice is yours
To look up at the twinkling sky.
