chapter 045 — narrative !

Blossom sat down on her bed ,
doing some work on her laptop
when she got a call from Jean .

She answered it as she shuts down
her computer while on the
other line Jean sounded
like she was crying .

" b , you need to
come down to the hospital
right now." Jean said choking
on her tears

Blossom started getting a
little worried ,

" J, whats wrong ?
deep breaths" she told
her friend who couldnt stop
crying.

Jean took deep breaths
and tried her best to keep
calm , " J-jhene got into
a terrible accident and the doctors
are asking us to prepare ourselves for the
worse."

Blossoms eyes started getting
watery

" im on my way." she hangs up
the phone and rushes out of the
house , driving as fast as she could
to the hospital .

When she arrived , she
rushed to Jhene's ward

" how did this happened ?"
Blossom asked her friends

" a drunk truck driver
ran over her car." Reece
told the confused blossom

Blossom covers her mouth
in shock , tears slowly flowing
out .

She sat down beside her best friends
bed and held her hand .

It was getting late , blossom
refused to leave the hospital
so they called vinnie to send
her home

Vinnie drove while Blossom
sat at the passenger seat looking
out the window .

The whole trip was silent, when
they reached Blossoms apartment.
Vinnie opens the door for her ,

" come on , lets go" He reached out
for her hand .

They walk into the house hand in
hand — Blossom didnt know
how to feel , she felt nothing but
emptiness inside .

They sat on the couch , Vinnie
pulls Blossom closer to him and
lets her rest her head on his chest
while he gently plays with her hair .

" how you feeling ?" he asked

She spoke softly , " i dont
exactly know"

He planted a kiss on her cheek,
" its okay love , shes gonna be
okay" he reassured her

It was 2AM , Blossom
tried to get some sleep but she couldn't.
She was obviously exhausted but couldn't fall
asleep ; she gets a call from Reece telling her she
needs to come to the hospital. Vinnie drove , getting
there as fast as he could .

Just as they arrived , the doctors and nurses
leave the room .
" i'm so sorry for your loss."

" no no no, this cant be
real , please tell me this is
a joke" Blossom begged
the doctor, she broke down
in tears — Vinnie quickly catches
her before she fell to the ground ,
she cried in his arms . He slowly
rubs her back, he held the girl
tightly.

The doctors slowly walk away,
Jean and Reece walk inside to
say their last goodbyes.

Vinnie lets go of Blossom letting
Veerena hug the girl ,
" its okay " Veerena
whispered .

Blossom walked into the
room , her best friends body
covered by a white cloth—
blossom looked at her friend ,

" i'm so sorry queen" Blossom
spoke softly.

She walked outside , the group
hug each other .

" we have to stay strong for her."
Reece looked at everyone ,
everyone nods except blossom
who kept quiet.

She walked off with Vinnie ,
he drove them back home .

" can you lay with me ?"
she asked vinnie , he nods
his head and laid down beside
the girl .He held onto her hand,
she looked at him and broke
down in tears again ; vinnie
pulls her close and caresses
her hair ,

" just let the pain out" vinnie
advices as she cried in
his chest .

It broke his heart hearing the girl
sobbing but he had to be there for
her especially at times like this .
