To celebrate, I’m holding an #SPKSADcontest (SAD = Singles Awareness Day). I want, no, NEED, to hear your story of love and singledom. It should obvi start sour but end totally sweet. Srsly, who doesn’t love a happy ending?
SO, submit your sour then sweet love story today for a chance to see it come to life as an animated short! AND the winning story will be featured on Wattpad. You could basically be a star. Basically.
I know what you’re thinking. “But Sour Patch Kidsssss! How do I enter?” EASY! Just tag your story with #SPKSADcontest and boom, you’re set!
One last thing: All entries must be submitted by 11:59pm EST on February 14. OR ELSE…I won’t read it. :/
What do I write about?
Be creative! Take a look at the awesome Sour Then Sweet Love Stories written by @DoNotMicrowave, @KnightsRachel and @KatRocks247 for some inspiration and then create your own! Just be sure it starts off sour and ends up sweet, just like SPK. <3
Creativity is key (duh), and grammar and spelling matter (double duh)!
Submission Requirements:
- You must be a resident of the United States to be eligible to win
- You must be 13 years of age or older to enter
- Entries can only be accepted in English
- Story must be 500 to 5,000 words in length
- Story must be marked as complete
- Story must be tagged #SPKSADcontest
- Story must be rated PG-13 or lower
- Must be a NEW story posted on your Wattpad profile
- Must NOT mention any other brands
- Story must be posted between February 2, 2015 and February 14, 2015
- Only one entry per profile, please!
Voting and Judging:
The top 10 stories will be determined by Wattpad and VaynerMedia.
From these top 10 stories, votes from YOU, the Wattpad Community, in collaboration with VaynerMedia and Wattpad will determine the winning submission.
Dates:
Submissions via tagging will be accepted from the time of the announcement on Monday 9am EST on February 2. The closing date for submissions is 11:59pm EST on February 14.
The 10 Entries that receive the highest scores, as determined by the judges, will be determined the potential Finalists.
The Finalists will be notified via the Wattpad messaging service and/or email on or about February 16, 2015.
Prizing:
- A week-long feature for their winning story on Wattpad
- An exclusive sticker added to the winner’s story cover, announcing they’re the winner of the writing contest
- An animated digital video of the Sour Patch Kids narrating the winning story
- Promotion of your story on Wattpad and Sour Patch Kids’ social media channels
