When you think of mermaids, most would think the top of the body is human and the waist down is a fishtail. Well, you couldn't be any further from the truth. I'll explain more later but first I'd like to tell you how it was even possible to make mermaids. Yes, make. They used to live a long time ago as we found evidence of this, but that's when we found one preserved in ice. At least most parts of it. The surface skin was decayed and didn't look like anything but a human that had a blow touch held to them till they were black. Surprisingly the reproductive organs were still very well preserved. With the aid of multiple countries' money, an underwater station was made at the bottom of the ocean under Antarctica. I should probably clarify that under Antarctica there are many massive tunnels, we simply built them into one. No one really travels to the coldest place on earth so we didn't really need to hide the station too much or so I was told.

For the station itself there were four stories, the design was like a cartoon rabbit. Not literally but pretty close. The head itself was two stories and was shaped as a rectangle. The last two stories were two cylinders coming from the head. The first two levels were for running the test and holding the tubes we are using to recreate mermaids. The two cylinders or two ears were more of a living space and needed Essentials like bathrooms and a cafeteria as well as a lounge for relaxation. The Size of the bottom levels was 50×40 while the ears were 20x40. To give you an idea of how big this place truly is, well imagine the most advanced technology most developed countries can offer in one building. To list a few things we have off, I have to say the top impressive ones are the pool that can change one thousand gallons of freshwater to saltwater in a minute, or how about the hydroponic gardening that grows all our food for us to live off of, or maybe you would be more impressed into the subject tubes but that term gives the life we create no meaning, so I call them incubators. We have four of them, a weird number of them but it is how many people live in this building including me. We do have bathrooms, sleeping quarters, a kitchen, lodge, and my favorite and hidden bar. We are paid workers so a bar is probably not allowed so we hide it every time the inspectors come in. We are not always drinking but sometimes we need to let loose and raise morale. It's a stressful and frustrating job. We are making life from almost scratch. We don't even know a clue about how the spouse looks or acts due to the last known mermaid being mostly decayed.

That's enough about the building layout, let's talk about the lovely three coworkers and me. Let's start with Erik Ardankin, the Russian. Nothing against Russians or anything I just thought that sounded better like a character selection screen with an announcer. Anyways Erik is mid-30s at least, he has a rather light Russian accent, to be honest. He stands at about the same height as me but I am just a tad bit bigger. He is leaner than me, he has white hair that hangs down to his eyes. Yeah, we have a white-haired Russian. He claims it's natural but I see the dye packets. What is real is his bright blue eyes that will make just about any girl smile. Let's not forget the dresses to impress, like every day is important. Anyways that's Erik, he looks like a tall anime Russian guy.

Catherine Lawson, the bodybuilder that knows science. I can only assume her first life career was world champion bodybuilder for females. She has muscles bigger than most men and don't forget the four-pack she shows off by wearing a short tank top. Don't get me wrong she is smart as hell but she is the kind of nerd that kicks your ass as she is doing the class homework. Don't get me started on her accent, It makes my skin crawl in a good way. But to match her Scotland profile, she had red hair coming down to her chin that is a mess as hell like she woke up every hour of the day. Can't forget those dark blue eyes that make any deep ocean look like the sky above. I know she is 29, but I would assume by looking at her she was 23. She normally wears work outfits like she is coming from or going to a gym. Anyways, onto the last coworker.

Sakazaki Chieko, or Sakai for short. She is probably the smartest one here as well as the youngest. Just being 18 she has already completed as much schooling as everyone else here. Passed every class she had with all As. She normally wears her jet-black hair in a ponytail. She looks like a 15-year-old as.      She stands shorter than anyone here by a foot. If I had to guess she is 5.0 feet tall. She has simple brown eyes and can use them to get just about anything she wants. Thanks to her ability to do puppy dog eyes with them.  She normally wears the appropriate outfit to work here with all her clothes wrinkle-free.
