The next morning, I wake up with my throat dry as the Sahara desert and with an intense headache. I groan as I sit up and look besides me. There's a glass of water on the bedside table and grabbing it, I gulp it instantly.

My head is throbbing insanely and I almost cry from the pain. I'm about to lay back on the bed when suddenly I realize that I am in an unfamiliar place. My eyes open wide and I look around quickly. I look at my clothes quickly and gasp when I see myself in an oversized white shirt. Where is my dress?!

I get up quickly and see my clutch on the couch. I walk towards it quickly and taking it, I dash outside the room. This place looks so expensive. I look at the shining floor and I can see my reflection on them. I climb down the stairs rapidly, still barefoot and once the exit door appears in my view, I run towards it.

When I'm outside, a security guard stares at me as if I've just run out from the mental institution. I ignore him and dash towards the gates. Even the streets looks too high class for me. There's tall trees on both sides of the road and I keep running until I reach the main road.

I am already breathless by the time I stop a cab and get inside it. The driver gives me a weird look and I look at myself. I have my bra and underwear on and thank goodness, the shirt stops just over my knee.

I reach at my place in about thirty minutes and just as soon as I get down, I see Chloe sitting on my doorstep. Her plight looks so bad. Mascara traces are under her eyes as if she has cried very much. She looks like a mess.

"Nya", she runs towards me as soon as she sees me and hugs me. "Are you okay? I have been looking for you everywhere cupcake. I was so worried. I'm so sorry I was irresponsible and left you there."

"Calm down Chloe", I pat her back gently. She's trembling. "I am okay. And you were not irresponsible at all. I am an adult. I can look after myself. Have you been here all night?"

"I couldn't find you", she cries. "And you were not picking your phone. So I stayed here hoping you will come back."

"Oh Chloe", I hug her again. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that because of me. It is so cold outside. Let's go in and warm you up."

I wince when I take a step. My feet's soles feel sore and rough. I think I might have bruised them while running.

"Nya", Chloe's tone turns serious. "Why are you barefoot? And where is your dress? Whose shirt are you wearing?"

"Can we go inside first please?", I ask as I remove the keys from my clutch.

She remains silent but I feel her motherly instinct is really on right now. She can burst any minute.

"What's going on Cupcake?", she demands once we are inside. "Where have you been?"

"I don't remember", I sigh and rub my forehead. "All I remember is waking up in a pent house and I just ran away fron there."

"Are you okay?", she runs her hands on my arms to see if I have any injury.

"Just having a bad headache", I murmur.

"That's because you took too many shots yesterday", she says. "I'll make some lemon water for you. Go and freshen up."

"Chloe", I shake my head. "You need to rest. You look so tired. You spent the night outside in this cold weather for me. Take a warm shower and I'll make a hot drink for you. No, I don't want to hear anything. Just go."

I turn for the kitchen quickly before she can says anything.

"I'll join you in a few", she calls out before disappearing in my room.
