Daenys Velaryon is the oldest child of Rhaenyra and Laenor Velaryon, but she shares the same true lineage as her brothers Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey. As the oldest child and future heir to the Iron Throne, she has duties to fulfill, duties that she is expected to make sacrifices for, but she has witnessed enough death to know that it is not something she wants for herself.
Aemond Targaryen is nobody, second in importance, heir to nothing, and yet he simply cannot stop wanting, stop reaching, for the things he cannot and should not have. He wants the girl whom he has grown up beside, he wants the crown his brother is destined for, he wants justice and retribution, but in his greed, it is easy to forget that the price of it can only be paid in blood.
