The way your eyes had been
With the colour of the gloomy skies and seas

How gloomy yet strangely lovely are these
I can see the rains pouring
And the crashing thunder roaring
The sky looks so darkly blue
The leaves of the plants are covered in dew
Then I think of you, comprenez-vous?
Because nature bears a picture of you

That's what I can surely see

They sail the seas far and wide
Only to never return with pride
Because indigo lights had engulfed
Pride solves nothing but humility does
It saved many throughout the ages
Let me choose to be humble without menace
