I hear Lexi come down the stairs and rubs her eyes before yawning.

"Morning, did you make me some?" she asks as a smile forms on her face

I nod and she squeals

"Thanks, Iz," she says and I give her a stern look.

"What, it's growing on me you know," she says sticking the bread into her mouth.

"Where's dad?" she asks.

"He told me he had to leave for work early, some problem at the office," I say and she nods.

When we arrive at school, Adonis' car is parked in his usual spot.

He's leaning against it with his hand in his pockets.

He has a girl around his arm and I feel a bit of disappointment in my stomach.

As I get out of the car he shoots a smile before speaking.

"Morning,"

I stop in his sight before returning the smile, "Morning,"

"Hey Izzy," Vanessa says as she meets us with his.

"Hey," I say pulling my eyes away from him to look at her.

"Adonis, can I talk to you," April says in a demanding tone.

He nods before whispering something in the ears and they walk off.

"My brother is an asshole," Vanessa scoffs.

"Yea, he is," Lexi agrees causing me to laugh.

"Morning girls," Kegan says putting his arm around Vanessa

"Hey, Where's April?" Thomas asks.

"She went to talk to Adonis," I say and he nods

Lexi nudges me as she sees Levi and I nod.

She walks into the school and he turns around to go after her.

Jackson takes his place next to Charlie, with no emotion or excitement to see each other, they never seem to be a couple to me.

Adonis and April come back and she runs over to Thomas before giving him a hug.

It's weird, everyone seems genuinely happy and excited except Charlie and Jackson, even when it's just the two of them.
