And so driv[ing] along other passengers [they] were robbed and several [were] slash[ed] by bandits.
They walked in the desert. In the border town[,] he traveled by foot to find water. Authorities jailed him for five days. he escaped [, to] where he relieved the last of his memory.
Finding no further use for authorities he drove him[self] and left [behind a part of [him] in the desert. Several days on foot, four months from the beginning of his journey.
When [he] finished telling me his story, [and] before I could offer any sympathy-
He blurted out: "I don't want to go home. I 've decided on my goals".
[He] had a new plan. He would make money and buy the desert altogether. And then the sea.
"If God gives me the chance, " he said, "I arrive[d] alive and healthy, I think I can make it."
By which he meant [in] a land of millions in need of a clever mechanic, [who else would be right for the job except he]?
