SEA WAS YOUR DAUGHTER

when i see you, through your finger
tips rises an ocean, a rebelled storm
with sailors fighting, treasuring souls
bleeding out of your chest where you
held the depth of the mystery every
being of the ocean held like precious
stones kept in case the void in your
heart steals your mind and you have
nothing beautiful to see.
but you are an ocean, the ocean, you
gave birth to the sea where the mothers
visit when they need to be assured by
the sunrise that the sunset didn't mean
the end of anything but the beginning
of your glory. at the shore i see your
waves, bellowing over your breasts,
your bosom held the sun and i saw
grace pour out of your mouth even
through the dreary storms that stole
countless souls. even then you are
the soul to the countless when you are
one with the sun and the moon, the
night and day, the light of every being
shining through your waves and the
souls that have set their destiny over
the horizon above your face.

even then you are the soul to the countless when you areone with the sun and the moon, the night and day, the light of every beingshining through your waves and the souls that have set their destiny overthe horizon above your face
