Months have passed and the Lan and Guest students are getting ready to finish their lanterns that will be offered to the gods that they all been praising

"What will you draw to your lanter Wei Xiong?"Nie Huaisang asked

"Hmm"Wei Ying thought and turned to look at Lan Zhan who was already looking at him and quickly looked away,Wei Ying smiled showing his bunny teeth "A rabbit!"He said

"You're going to draw your own kind?good"Jiang Cheng teased and Wei Ying smacked his hands

"Do your works silently so that we could finish and start releasing each of your lanterns"Lan Qiren said and everyone focused on their lanterns

Wei Ying approached Lan Zhan "Do you like my lantern?"he asked showing off his lantern with a white rabbit on it

"Wha.."Lan Zhan stopped what he was about to say as he was mesmerised with Wei Ying's drawing skills so he smiled

"You smiled!"Wei Ying said and Lan Zhan glared at him but he just giggled cutely making Lan Zhan to have red ears

"Where did you learn to draw?"Lan Zhan asked

"Hmm....to my A-die,I saw he draw my Baba and he taught me how to draw but I can't remember some of it since I had a slight memory loss when I was night hunting with A-cheng"Wei Wuxian answered while adding some black strokes at the rabbit's ear while Lan Zhan was just staring at his face as he noticed Wei Ying has grey eyes and Wei Ying turned to look at him as he noticed the other male's gaze at him and Lan Zhan looked back at his lantern

"What happened?"Lan Zhan asked referring to the cause of his memory loss

"We were just attacked behind our backs and I hit my head on the tree but it didn't matter since I just had a slight memory loss I still could remember some things about my parents"Wei Ying said and Lan Zhan was more curious about his parents

"Your parents...."He stopped and both looked at each other

"Hmm?"Wei Ying asked

"Why are you calling them Baba and A-die?"Lan Zhan asked

"Oh..."Wei Ying mumbled as he looked down to his lantern "my parents are both males,my Baba is a nice person maybe that's why they were gifted with a child and it's me but I'm not with them right now"He said with a sad tone and Lan Zhan looked down as well at his lantern

"I see...they must've loved each other that the gods gifted you to them,you're a gift so you're special you must remember that"Lan Zhan said while still looking down while Wei Ying looked at them with a smile

"I never though you could tell that to me but thank you,you made me feel so special today"Wei Ying said and knows that Lan Zhan won't reply so he turned to finish his lantern

"You're always special"

"Ready your lanters and make a prayer at what you desire"Lan Qiren said and everyone was getting ready to release their lanterns

Everyone released their lanterns with a smile on their face and started closing their eyes

"I,Wei Wuxian thanks all gods that are guiding and protecting everyone,I hope that one day I could protect everyone in the mortal realm"Wei Ying said and Lan Zhan looked at him
