This is our world.

The world of the privileged. The well-to-do. The upper class.

Never knowing the value of a dollar. Being completely out of touch with ordinary people and ordinary issues. Thinking we are better than others. We were taught of assets and liabilities. For assets is to be acquired by the wealthy, hence leaving the poor and middle class to liabilities.

Life was truly beautiful as children. We had broken no laws, committed no sins and were not guilty of any morally evil act. We had always been given comfort, never freedom.

But the five of us are not kids anymore.

Now, there is no looking at life through rose-colored glasses. Because sometimes, a harsh lesson is necessary. To realize that our lives are planned from the beginning.

To understand that all our parents' affection during our upbringing was to be able to coerce us. To perceive that we are just a mere materialistic possession. A chattel to feed our families' greed. Some collateral pawns to their ladder to more power.

Truth is, everybody is going to hurt us.
Be it our families or. . . the five of us.

And we are afraid that we won't make it out of this alive.
