Hehe...This is going to be fun....

I met my husband in the middle of the room and we stared at each other. Our eyes wandered over each other as if we were condemning each other's faces to our memories. His lips were on mine and my hands slid under his tunic. My fingers traced his muscles as his own felt my hips. I had to hold onto him to keep from falling. We broke apart and our foreheads met.

"I love you." I breathed.

"I love you too." He replied before kissing me again.

It was time.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Our army approached the massive fortress. My heart pounded in my chest and my breath left my lungs. We galloped acrossed the gray sand to the foot. Our army stayed behind us and watched. The air blew warm and humid while thick with smoke. Gray clouds blocked out the sun and made a hazy glow around us.

This was it. This was our doom.

We slid to a halt mere feet from the gate. I shook with anxiety as Aragorn called out.

"Let the Lord of the Black land come forth! Let justice be done upon him!"

I gave Legolas a terrified look which he returned by squeezing my hands and whispering to me in Elvish.

"It's going to be alright my lovely one. Have faith."

We waited in silence. Not a peep could be heard. I could have dropped my dagger in the sand and you would have heard every thump it made. Then, A great groaning went up from the gates and a lone rider came through. Legolas looked around in horror.

The rider was hideous. Rotting flesh, gray and flaky with blood trickling from various places.

"My master Sauron the Great, Bids thee welcome. Is there any in this rout to with the authority to treat with me?" He gave a creepy smile.

Aragorn looked disgusted. I wanted to throw up. The mouth of Sauron looked at me and then looked away.

 My husband narrowed his eyes.

"We do not come to treat with Sauron faithless and accursed. Tell your master this: The armies of Mordor must disband. Depart these lands never to return." Gandalf commanded.

"Old gray beard. I have a token to show thee." He held up a shimmering shirt.

"No, No, no." I gasped.

Legolas looked over at me.

Tears leaked from my eyes. "No, no, not Frodo," I whispered.

"Frodo!" Pippin cried.

"Silence!" Gandalf yelled.

"No!" Merry sobbed.

"Silence."

I tried to hold in my tears but they continued to fall. Legolas guided my horse closer to his and held my hand.

"He lies. Do not trust what the filth says. Have hope, my girl, I believe in my heart our friend lives." He whispered to me.

Gimli growled and Aragorn looked furious.

"The halfling was dear to the I see." The mouth said. "Know that he suffered greatly at the hands of his holder." The mouth looked at me. "May this haunt your hearts of joy."

Legolas glared at him while I looked away.

"Who thought one so small could endure so much." He smirked. "He did Gandalf, he did."
