I feel like over the last few weeks I've had a different mindset. I feel less angry with the world. I mean I'm a fun guy I would like to think. I always go out and have fun and enjoy myself. I enjoy doing my job. I enjoy making people suffer who don't give me my money. I'm not an angry person unless you are on my bad side or if you piss me off.
But, I don't know, I feel a little different. In a good way though. I think I have Mackenzie to thank for that. The time I've been spending with her has been great.
I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard the back door open. I'm in my backyard smoking a cigarette. I looked back and smirked to see Mackenzie.
"Those are bad for you" She said as she sat across from me. I laughed. Of course she would say that.
"Do you think I care?" I asked her. She just looked away and looked around the backyard then back at me. When she saw me staring she was trying to hide a smile. Fucking adorable. "What's up?" I asked her. I didn't even know she was coming over here.
"Not much. I'm going to some club with my friends tonight so I thought I'd stop by before I go home and get ready" She told me. That's crazy so am I.
"Really? What club?" I decided to ask before telling her I am going out too.
"46" She said and I chuckled. "What?" She asked me.
"The gang owns the vip area on the second floor of that place and we are all going tonight" I told her and her eyes widened.
"Really? That's so cool" She said back. I nodded.
"I guess I may see you tonight then" I said to her.
"Maybe" She said shrugging.
"Well you're not gonna be with any other guy right?" I had to ask.
"No just my friends" She told me. I slowly nodded then looked away. "Why?" She asked me. I looked back over to see a smirk on her face. I shrugged. I know what game she's playing.
"Why else?" I asked. Does she even have to ask why?
"What if a guy asks me to dance or what's to buy me a drink?" She said back clearly testing me. I let out a laugh.
"That won't happen babe" I said back because I'll be there. She looked offended.
"Excuse me?" She snapped. Oh shit. I know how it sounded.
"Fuck I didn't mean it like that Angel. You know what I meant" I told her. "You're mine. No one else's"
"I'm yours?" She asked and I rolled my eyes. She's feeling ballsy today I see.
"Shut up" I said back and she laughed. I just shook my head and tried not to smile at her.
"Well you know I'm not your girlfriend so I don't know how I could possibly be yours" She said jokingly. I took a long drag from the cigarette then laughed after. I guess Jason McCann might a girlfriend soon. This shocks even me.
"Really? Never thought of that" I joked back. "Not the way I want to ask you" I added and she smiled just a little more.
"You have a special way to ask me? Jason McCann you might be a true romantic" She joked again and I really laughed this time.
I guess I'm asking her today. If I make her mine now, no one can have her. I want to make sure it's that way. I want her to be mine only. And I also want her. If you know what I mean.
I have a plan. And I'm hoping she likes it. I stood up and threw my cigarette on the ground. I held my hand out for her and she grabbed it as she stood up. I pulled her inside and she asked, "What are we doing?"
"Shh" I said as I pulled her out of the kitchen and through the foyer. I saw the guys sitting in the living room, but I ignored them as we walked in.
"Hi" I heard her say to them in a soft tone. I heard them all say hi back. I grabbed a candle then started to walk back out. I still ignored everyone as we walked up the stairs and into my room.
As we walked into my room, I let go of her hand and went to the side of my bed and grabbed a lighter off of my nightstand. I walked back over to her, grabbed her hand again then pulled her into my bathroom. I picked her up and placed her on the counter.
"Jason what are you doing?" She asked with a laugh. I placed the candle down and lit it. I didn't answer her. I shut the light off so the room was only lit by the candle. 'Romantic' hopefully. I guess. I know it's a bathroom, but it's light out so the candle would be pointless in my room. I walked over to her and stood between her legs. I put my hands on her thighs and then I kissed her. I pulled away just so I can look at her.
I know this might not be fair of me to pull her into my life and into this chaos. She shouldn't be with someone as dangerous as me. She doesn't deserve to be dragged into this life style. But I'm being selfish and I'm going to do it in hopes that she will deal with my chaos because she likes the other side of Jason McCann.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her. She started to smile wider.
"Of course" She said back with a nod. I smiled too and it was a real fucking smile. She wrapped her arms around me, hugging me then looking back up at me with her arms around me still. I leaned in to kiss her, but I heard Johnson call my name. I groaned, but she laughed.
"What?" I yelled to him.
"We got company" I heard him yell. I rolled my eyes. Fucking shit. I forgot we had some people from another gang coming over to go over deals. Mackenzie needs to stay up here. I wish she would have told me she was coming earlier so I could tell her to wait. I pulled away, blew the candle out and turned the light on again. I heard her sigh.
"I'll be right back" I told her then I walked out. I can't believe I have a girlfriend that I haven't had sex with yet. I know that might sound fucked up, but this is so different. She is younger and I feel like she's fragile and I have to protect her so I'm going to wait until she's ready. See, Jason McCann isn't all that bad. "What's up guys?" I greeted the two guys as I walked into my living room.
"Hey McCann" One of them said as he came over and shook my hand.
"Ready to talk business?" The other one asked as he also shook my hand.
"Always" I said with a chuckle. I looked over to see all the guys here.
"I have to go grab that paper for them. I forgot that shit in my room." Hunter told me as he stood up.
"Yeah go get it." I said to him then he walked out. Johnson started to talk about some business we had just settled with other guys in their gang. I shoved my hands into my pockets as I listened. Johnson did a double take behind me then everyone's headed turned that. I looked behind me to see Mackenzie. Of course she couldn't just stay up stairs. I looked like she mouthed that she was leaving so I nodded. I looked at the guys and said, "I'll be right back." Then I walked over to the front door where she followed. "Why are you leaving?" I asked her in a low tone so no one would hear me.
