"Aleesha, I am warning you. Just tell me what happened!" Aalia shouted.

"Aalia, Shouting won't help. I am not going to help you this time." Aleesha said driving the car.

"Are you mad at me for not taking the phone? You should know that I did it intentionally because I wanted to breathe. I wanted some time alone. And I don't think that there's something wrong in that." Aalia said.

"Are you serious? What in the h*ll made you think so?" Aleesha asked.

"Right now, I think there is something more important for us to talk about." Aalia said.

"I don't know in detail. Mom called me and informed me that Adnaan met with an accident." Aleesha said.

Aalia asked more about Adnaan's condition but Aleesha refused to answer back.

Reaching home Aalia ran to the front door and rang the doorbell. The door opened and she found her dad with a worried look which made her feel worse.

"Dad, What happened to Adnaan?" Aalia asked before her dad could say anything.

"Come inside." Her dad said, walking her to the living room. Aalia stopped her dad.

"Please dad. Just tell me. How is he? " Aalia insisted.

"He is fine." Her dad said, trying not to look at her.

"Is he? " Aalia felt as if her dad was lying.

"Aali... It happened the day before yesterday. At night while he was going back home on his motorcycle after work. And he got hit by a car." Her dad paused for a while.

Aalia felt like her legs were turning into some kind of jelly. She felt the air from her lungs being sucked out. She didn't want to think about Adnaan in a bad condition but her mind was playing with her.

Her dad hugged her.

"Was that the reason why you guys were unpleasant yesterday's morning? " Aalia asked lifelessly.

Her dad nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me then? " Aalia asked.

"He is fine now." Her dad tried to convince her.

"Where is he now? " Aalia asked.

"Hospital. " Her dad said in a low voice.

"If he is fine, what is doing in a hospital room? " Aalia asked.

"He will be discharged in 2-3 days. You shouldn't worry about him. If you don't believe in me. You should come with us. We are going to visit him now. So that you can stop worrying about him being in a bad condition. " Her dad said.

"Ya. I will c-" Aalia stopped her sentence in between as she thought about what Adnaan said.

'Aalia, you should know that your presence is not helping me. Do you know how hard it was for me to express what I felt for you? I thought everything was going to end up well if I told you what I felt. But you ended up ignoring me. I thought...leave it already. As I said. You can't help me. But you can make it worse.'
