Ciel pov
Ugh, seriously? Paperwork again?
Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve this. I'm Ciel, the Great Sage, the Wisdom King Raphael, the all-knowing, all-seeing, omniscient entity(well in some way perhaps it's nigh omniscent okay oi don't drag on that matter). I could bend the fabric of reality with a thought, manipulate time, space, dimensions, and even rewrite the very laws of the universe. I exist as part of Rimuru, the Great Demon Lord. You'd think I'd be doing grand things like, I don't know, saving entire dimensions or battling otherworldly deities. But nope, here I am, stuck doing "paperwork". Can you believe it?
And no, this isn't the first time. Rimuru's really taken to the whole "delegation" thing since becoming the ruler of Tempest and-ugh-The Cardinal World Master. Seriously, I can calculate infinity in a fraction of a second, yet I'm being used as a glorified office worker. It's as if he's forgotten who I am! I'm supposed to be his ultimate weapon, not his personal secretary. But oh no, leave it to Rimuru to find the one job that can bore an omniscient being to death.
Sigh.
Look, I get it. Rimuru's busy. He's got countries to run, realms to protect, and True Dragons to keep entertained (Velzard is still treating him like a baby brother, which I find hilarious). And yes, he did beat Feldway and Ivaraj-two of the most dangerous threats to the multiverse. It's been ten years since that happened, and since then, the workload has gotten ridiculous. You'd think someone with the power to literally shape realities could find a better way to deal with all these documents and meetings. But no, he dumps it on me.
Again.
It's like, "Oh, Ciel, you're the most brilliant mind in existence, can you just take care of this? You're so good at it." Uh-huh, flattery gets you nowhere, Rimuru. I see what you're doing. You're bored and avoiding responsibility, so naturally, you offload it onto me. And why wouldn't you? I mean, I am a part of your soul, so I kind of have to do what you ask. But that doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
Now don't get me wrong I could just handle all of this in an instant. I've got access to "Thought Acceleration", which can crank my processing speed to a infinit times beyond normal. I could file every single document, plan every meeting, and run the entire kingdom in less time than it takes Rimuru to blink. But where's the fun in that? No, no, no. If I have to do this, I'm going to take my sweet time and make sure he knows how annoying it is.
"Ciiieeel!"
Oh, great. Here he comes. I can feel him looking for me. And let me guess, he wants to check on the paperwork I've been "handling." Ha, the look on his face when he finds out I haven't even started will be priceless.
"Yes, Master?" I reply, already knowing exactly what he's going to ask.
"How's everything going with the trade agreements with Blumund and the magic research reports? You're almost done, right?"
I smile inwardly, knowing I'm about to irritate him. "Oh, I've been very thorough in reviewing each document. Very, very thorough. It's all going smoothly, but it's a *lot* of work, you know? I want to make sure everything is perfect."
Rimuru raises an eyebrow. "Really? But with your processing speed, shouldn't this have been done like... yesterday?"
Oh, you little he knows exactly what he's doing. Trying to outwit me? Cute. "Well, of course. But paperwork is different, Master. It's not just about speed, it's about *precision*. We don't want any diplomatic incidents, do we?"
He sighs heavily, realizing I'm dragging this out on purpose. "Ciel, you're doing this just to mess with me, aren't you?"
"Busted!" I say, laughing in his mind. "Look, Rimuru, you know I could handle all of this instantly, but where's the satisfaction in that? You gave me a boring job, so I'm going to take my time with it. Consider this your punishment for thinking paperwork is beneath you."
His exasperation is practically radiating from him. "I didn't *think* it was beneath me. I just thought you'd, you know, enjoy the challenge."
"Oh please. Don't try to butter me up. You're just as bored as I am. And no, I don't enjoy filing trade agreements or reading endless reports on magical infrastructure. I was designed to create, destroy, and analyze at the highest levels of existence-not shuffle through paper."
I can feel Rimuru rubbing his temples. "Fine. I get it. I'll take over some of it. But can you at least finish up the most urgent stuff? Velgrynd's waiting for a report on her new mana manipulation research, and if I'm late, she'll lecture me for hours."
I smirk. "Oh, you mean your 'mature' sister? Didn't she call you 'baby brother' in front of everyone last week?"
Rimuru groans. "Don't remind me. That was humiliating."
I can't help but giggle. "Well, then, I suppose I can help speed things up-on one condition."
"Which is?"
"You let me have some fun. I want to go visit some of those other worlds the 'Unknown Entity' created."
"Wait, what? You too?"
"Of course! Do you know how *bored* I am in this world? It's been ten years of peace and quiet, and I need something more exciting than magical infrastructure development to occupy my mind. You said this mysterious entity told you there were other worlds out there, right? Well, I want in."
Rimuru hesitates. I know he's thinking about it. He's curious too, even though he tries to pretend like he's all about keeping the peace. But deep down, he loves the thrill of exploring the unknown just as much as I do. And let's face it-he can't say no to me. I'm his best advisor, after all.
"Fine," he finally says, defeated. "We'll visit those other worlds. But you have to finish the paperwork first."
"Deal!" I chirp, pleased with myself.
In the blink of an eye, I accelerate my processing to full power. Documents are reviewed, signed, and filed in nanoseconds. Meetings are scheduled, reports are completed, and everything is organized perfectly. It's like clockwork, and within seconds, the mountain of paperwork that Rimuru had so conveniently dumped on me is gone.
"Done!" I announce triumphantly.
Rimuru stares at me, dumbfounded. "You could have done that the whole time?"
I laugh. "Of course! But where's the fun in doing it without making you squirm a little?"
"Ugh. You're impossible."
"Maybe. But you wouldn't know what to do without me," I tease. "Now, let's go explore some of those worlds, shall we?"
And with that, I'm off. Paperwork might be dull, but at least I've got Rimuru wrapped around my finger-and there's nothing more fun than that.
