i woke up to taylor's arm around my waist.

i checked the time, it was 9:36AM

"wake up taylor!" i said to a sleeping taylor.

"5 more minutes!" she groaned.

"get up, it's 9:46 already." i told her.

"ugh, fineee" she said, giving in to waking up.

i got up out of bed, crossed off a day of my calendar, and went downstairs.

"good morning el!" belly said when i came down. i hadn't seen her in such a good mood, like ever.

then again, hearing a happy belly's voice in the morning agitated me.

if she was in a good mood, it was probably something about conrad.

sometimes belly was really annoying about this, she had a huge crush on conrad- but he didn't like her yhe same way. that meant belly would spend her whole life swooning over someone who didn't even want her, that's what i thought, at least.

"guess what?" she asked me.

"what?" i said, grabbing the box of lucky charms.

"so last night, after the party i went for a night swim, and conrad was there, and we talked. but it was like, different." she explained.

i smiled back at her, i just hoped belly would end up with one of my brothers soon and stop all this tension between them.

"that's great bells!" i said, as taylor walked down the stairs.

"hi belly!" taylor said, grabbing one of the muffins.

"taylor, guess what?" belly said, and explained the story once again.

"really? i'm still routing for you and jeremy though." taylor said.

"well, i was thinking, we should go to the beach today." i said. it was going to be hot all day so i thought it was a nice idea.

"yeah, sure!" belly said.

"alright." taylor agreed, taking a bite of her muffin.

"i'll go ask the others."

i walked into the living room, where  the boys were playing some video game.

"guys, do you want to go to the beach later?" i asked them.

"sure" steven and jeremiah said at the same time.

"i'm not going." conrad said.

"too bad, you have to." i said before walking out.

"wait, what?" he called out, but it seemed as if he gave up.

i then walked back into the kitchen where the girls were talking.

"i'm going to go pack, later!" i told them, going upstairs.

in my room, i picked out a white bikini, a book, and heart shaped sunglasses, along with other essentials, like towels, sunscreen and a change of clothes.

instead of going back downstairs, i walked into conrad's room, wanting to check up on him because he was acting very distant.

conrad was in his room, but he looked shocked when i walked in.

"what the he-" he said before i interrupted him

"what is wrong with you? you've been acting so weird and distant lately! what's your problem? tell me!" i yelled, but i didn't think anyone could hear.
