I Miss the Girl I Was

I miss the girl I was
The girl who ran wild
Who danced and sung
Her voice unappreciated
I miss her
I miss the girl who didn't care
About hiding her sea of curls
I miss her
I miss the girl who vowed
To always love herself
And never change her
Carefree, caring, polite ways
But now
All that's left is a husk
Wasting away in her bedroom
Hiding in her hoodies, phone in hand
I miss the girl I was
I want her back
